I just saw today's episode, did anyone else? I <3 DW it's just too awesome!
And Professor River Song is back! she's such a great character 🙂

Only 4 but she loved it to my surprise hehe so will let her watch it again maybe she is ready for Buffy after all haha. Will see if she has any bad dreams tonight first!!

It was an awesome ep 🙂

aww, she sounds so cute
i first watched DW when i was 8. Had a few nightmares, but loved it 🙂
my sister is 9 and i've kinda sorta "trained" her to like buffy LOL
she likes willow and tara best. she loves OMWF and tabula rasa
LOL 🙂

I love Doctor Who. 🙂 I enjoyed the episode tonight. It wasn't the greatest episode ever written and I thought there were some problems with the pacing of it, but it was interesting and I look forward to the next part.

I don't know about everyone else, but I haven't liked Doctor Who quite as much ever since David Tennant and Russel T Davies left. I still love it, but its not the same.

I love doctor who. I really liked the new episode!!

"The Doctor, legs, nose and Mrs.Robinson". "I hate you." Haha. I wanna find out how they get out of this and if Amy is really pregnant....

I loved that bit!
You know, I wasn't sure I even wanted to continue watching after David left. Silly me. Matt has surprised me in a good way and I like both Amy and Rory. River Song? Well she's interesting but sometimes she annoys me a lot. Glad we'll find out more about her this season.

So simply but still something to bring a huge smile on my face. 🙂

I so hope I'm wrong and totally off track but I couldn't help but get a bad feeling when Amy started shooting, and knowing it was a young girl inside, just after she said that she was pregnant. If anything I hope it was done just to make the viewers think like I did. Probably it's just me "seeing" things that's not there at all.

Now on to watching My Sarah Jane - A tribute to Elizabeth Sladen followed by Doctor Who confidential.

Last season was a bit of a let down for me. I just didn't think the writing was all that great.

But this episode really had me interested. If the rest of the season is this good, I'll be happy.

I loved it. 🙂 I mean, sure, it messed with my head a bit, but still. The pacing didn't bother me as much as some other people who I've talked to so far. In fact, I thought it started off a bit slow. But that's just me? Idk... What do you guys think about the big event which took place in the first 10 minutes?

Oh, and I don't know how I feel about
the Doctor being 1100-ish years old in the 11th regeneration. That's a long time!

I was also happy to see that they did a tribute to Elisabeth Sladen 🙂

I wasn't sure either. I was like... I really don't know if I can watch Doctor Who w/o David Tennant as The Doctor. I was skepitical of season(series) 5 with Matt Smith as the Doctor. Just because... new doctor. But now as we've entered series 6, that doubt and etc that I had before is gone. Although, Eleven won't replace Ten for me because I don't believe any doctor could replace Ten for me, I like Eleven.

River Song doesn't annoy me. I actually really like River. I can't wait to learn more & more about her.

Perhaps. Well, the doctor saw the girl too. So both, Amy & The Doctor saw the girl in the astronaut. But maybe it did want The Doctor & Amy to see the girl in the astronaut costume/uniform(whatever).

I was so upset to hear about Elisabeth Sladen. One of my favourite episodes of Doctor Who is where she comes back in season 2 and there's Rose and Mickey. That one with the krillitanes in the school. It even has Giles it in! 🙂

I wasn't overly thrilled by the Impossible Astronaut, on first watching at least, but watched it again yesterday and realised I did in fact enjoy it a lot more than I thought I did. I think it would've been better being one long special episode, without a week's break, as I've heard that the second part goes down the action route rather than character driven.

I managed to guess Amy's secret long before the episode aired, when they announced that Amy would have her own secret, I was hoping she wouldn't be pregnant, and that it would be something we wouldn't expect, but I was disappointed. However, from what I've heard the Silence have been playing around with the Doctor's life for a long time, so I'm hoping that they're making Amy tell the Doctor she's pregnant to strain their relationship, or she'll lose it by the end of the series, possibly creating Amy's exit from the TARDIS, maybe Rory as well.

I can't see the Doctor staying dead, as Steven Moffat said the character who dies would, probably going to do something timey-wimey in the next episode, or maybe it'll be dragged out until the finale.

The Silence were really creepy as well! The toilet scene wasn't as scary as some people who had already seen it, had said it was, and they didn't really freak me out so much originally, but thinking about how they could
erase themselves from your memory as soon as you look away, that's when I found them really scary.

I liked the Lis Sladen tribute, but was kinda upset they didn't include Nicholas Courtney as well 🙁

I'm a new Doctor Who watcher, and I finally got to watch both of the first 2 eps yesterday. I set my DVR last week, but when I finally got a chance to sit down & watch it it had erased (all that darn Buffy recording!). But I'm kind of glad because I got to watch both episodes at once. I loved it. Like I said, I'm a new watcher (well, my dad used to watch the original series on public television!), not really attached to any characters/actors yet, but I love Matt Smith! A half-nude portrait of him at the beginning? Bonus! I loved him in a cowboy hat LOL. I've liked Alex Kingston since she was on ER. I thought it was incredibly sad
when she revealed that the Doctor is remembering her less everytime they meet. 🙁
My kids did watch some of it with me and liked it.

Glad you and your kids enjoy it. About the spoiler I must have missed that part and it confuses me. But I'm easily confused so that's no big deal.

About the second episode.
They sure are working hard on making it look like the girl is The Doctors and Amys. Things aren't always as they seem though so I'll keep my doubts. A clever way of getting rid of the monsters but also to escape when the Doctor was "trapped". I had to smack my head for not seeing that one coming. Loved the little conversation between Nixon and Delaware at the end. Black? Yes he is. 😀

Hey does anybody know what song that was playing at the beginning of The Rebel Flesh? The scene where Amy & Rory are playing darts, not the Dusty Springfield song that comes later LOL. Other than that I've trying to avoid this thread since The Almost People can be seen this weekend in the UK but we in the US have to wait until next weekend. 🙁

I watch online and forgot that the US has to wait until next weekend to see The Almost People. If you want to see it, I have the link
