I'm sorry but ew ew ew, my stomach twists when I see anything vagualy romantic going on between these two! The only time it was alright was in 'Your Welcome'.
I love these two characters and I loved the dynamic they had when contrasting each other in the early seasons . I think the dynamics are massively off when they get all romancy!

They were friends! Am I alone in this?

I like them. I don't know exact reason, but I guess I like them because I cried when she got that potion and left Angel with Gru. ^^

I'm with you. The idea of them together, especially after the whole Connor, weirds me out! I may, in time, come to appreciate it, like I did with Spike and Buffy. Doesn't mean I'll like it though!

But I'm biased, I'm one of those old romantics who doesn't like Buffy and Angel with anyone 😛 What can ya do, eh?

Depending what kind of relationship one wants friendship can be a better buildingstone than just physical attraction.

I can get that. I don't like that either. But I see that as Jasmine and not Cordy.

And yes, I'm a Cangel. 😀

It doesn't work for me. The actors have that brilliant contrasting chemistry with each other but once it turns int osomething romantic it just doesn't look as believable to me as say Buffy and Angel or Willow and Tara. Maybe thats something about Charisma [I do love her] though because I never felt like she was really into the 'love' scenes with Xander.

No your not alone. I agree, when i got the spoiler that some Cangel action was coming, there was a major wtf moment in my head. And actually seeing the semi-relationship in the show, it wasn't at all handled well and never really believable.

If anything, it demonstrated a new low for Angels character as he starts juggling Cordy and Buffy (in the crossovers where theres plenty of kissing and holding each other into the night). In the end, i thought Angel wasn't good enough for either Buffy or Cordy, and seeing it play out, it didnt work anyway.

i love angel and cordelia together i wish we could of seen more of there relationship

Agreed, i never bought it and just couldnt take it to, it seemed wrong for some reason but like a previous poster im an old fashioned buffy and angel fan 😀

More dept into my answer:

Cordelia and Angel seemed like the type of persons who never would end up as more than friends. basically because of Angel's "eternal" love for Buffy. But as it happens when you're with people, they grow on you, and you fall in love. Angel and Cordy had to struggle with the fact, and when they finally got to admit it, it was too late. To me it's kinda Romeo and Juliet -esque. Beautiful sad love.

i agree too, it was just a bit weird, and especially the whole thing with connor
eek

im not really sure what i think. i liked them b4 the whole conner thing but after it it was kinda squermish (sp?) but i loved that moment in "You're Welcome" at the end it almost broke my heart. and yes i admit it i cried

I too loved Angel and Cordelia (for much the same reasons as VisionGuy above). I think it is a great shame they never quite got the timeing right and I always cry in "You're Welcome" when she's saying good-bye. I've heard Joss say that Cordelia was not bought back in season five as a regular because her story was 'done' and that always makes me sad ('cos I think he's wrong) but I'm glad that bryan Lynch managed to give us some lovely Angel/Cordy moments in After the Fall. That was sweet.
