Dollhouse Renewed!

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!! *SCREAMS*!!!!!!!!!

Cannot wait I love FOX! now!!! thanks so MUCH!!!
BTW what do they mean "The move will also mark a shift in creative direction of the show" does that mean Season 2 will be like the first 5 of S1?

Well, maybe that implies something good, like Joss having more artistic control to do what he wants with the show and less FOXish intervention.

And of course wanting to rub in it in the faces of everyone who didn't think it would get renewed, you should probably hang your heads in shame.
You can rub all you want, not like I'll care much about that for the moment. 😉 But you won't se my head hang in shame about this. Other things on the other hand... I was wrong. Not like that hasn't happened before. 😉 Not thinking it's gonna get renewed isn't the same as just giving up. I doubt that all persons that made this possible (ordering the dvd and maybe, just maybe, it did help with people calling, mailing and tweeting) thought it was gonna get renewed, but that don't mean you'll stop trying.

But lets all be happy for now and look forward to what's coming. 😀

Doncha love how powerful a tool the internet is? If people wish hard enough, and get on twitter enough, wonderous things can happen! 😉

Sarcasm aside, I am very happy we're getting another season. I think Min's right....with all the sets already done and the run time being cut back, it really shouldn't cost as much as the first season.

RIGHT ON!!

This is awesome news, we better not have to wait too long!

That's great news!
Really looking forward to see more of Dollhouse.

/SK

I literally screamed when I saw this thread! I hadn't allowed myself to believe it would be renewed and I'm all the more ecstatic for it! 😛
I can't wait to see what season 2 brings. Yay! We can say that now! SEASON 2!

Wicked stuff, I'm well stoked 😀

I noticed Eliza hasn't tweeted about it yet (to my knowledge). Do we reckon she knows? 😛

Actually, I think I read in an interview with Joss that shooting for the extra minutes in the first season really wasn't much different than shooting for 42 minutes. They always shoot too much and then just edit it down.... so I wonder how much it will actually save having only 42 min shows in terms of production cost? If anything, that certainly means they'll get more revenue from advertising dollars, so I'm sure FOX is happy with that.

Anyway, yeah... pretty sure I could take a kick to groin right about now and still be smiling from this news! I'm totally intrigued with this change of direction for the show. I'm superinterested in seeing where they take Whiskey and Victor's characters. Can't wait to see Epitaph One.

*blinks and does a double take*

No ****ing way! I seriously thought this show wasn't going to get picked up but...

LMAO @ random internet baby
I'm not going to say I knew it but... I TOTALLY KNEW IT !!

That's great great great great, I can't even realiseeeeeeeeee aaah !! I just hope they'll have time to shoot everything quickly, I don't want Fox to draw a Tru Calling on us. At least if they have shot all the episodes before they air, like this season, we'll be sure to see them on DVD.

I have to admit that until about 3 days ago, I was 99.9% sure this show was a goner. It looks like Fox is trying to go back to being the edgy, outside-the-box network it was 20 years ago. That's a surprising decision, since the other networks are going in exactly the opposite direction, especially since the economy went to hell.

This renewal news made such an impression on me that I actually had a Dollhouse-related dream last night (I almost never have fandom-related dreams). For some reason, they'd converted the Dollhouse into a fancy restaurant... there were tables set up with candlelight and everything, and members of the general public were eating there. I knew it was the Dollhouse, although I don't think we were supposed to know that.

They seated me at a table, then had to move me because they'd accidentally put me at a table that was permanently reserved for one of their regulars. Then Boyd, in his suit and tie, brought me a basket of dinner rolls.

I didn't see Echo or Sierra or Victor, but I think I saw November. The dream ended before I got my food, so I can't really give a review of Chez Dollhouse.

Lol that sounds fun! BTW really interesting poster over at Slay*l*v*.
I am honestly surprised. I'm also not waiting with baited breath. I do, however, hope that Joss surprises us and actually produces some sort of decent plot. Or character depth. 😛

I'm more excited about Castle's renewal. Now to watch the finale... LOOOUUU!!!!!!!! (sw)

I will probably watch, though... I just don't have high hopes. 😉 (Which hopefully means I get pleasantly surprised... 😉)
