Dr Who! Anyone excited?

I am! And I'm home alone so I have the whole place to myself to pig out and eat junk and watch it 😀 so excited to see what Clara will be like!
 
Can't say that excited is the word. Which says more about me than anything else. Excited isn't a word that fits me about much if anything. My younger sister is very excited about it which is nice to see her being about something geeky that I enjoy. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy that the show is back. It's been a long wait. Clara has definitely made me curous and so far I like her.
 
I really liked the episode. I think I'm going to like Clara a lot.

Is anyone else excited that David Tennant and Billie Piper will be returning for the 50th anniversary episode? I'm psyched! 😀

OMG Yes!!!! Not only do I love #10, but Rose is my favorite companion <points to banner>.

We didn't watch it on Saturday because we were waiting for a local fangroup's viewing at an independent theater on Monday. We were so excited to see it on the big screen, but my youngest came down with strep and we couldn't go (he's the biggest DW fan, I couldn't have taken the others, that would've been cruel lol!). So we snuggled up and watched it at home last night.

Oh, and we're finally to season 6 on our watch. Which puts me to where I started watching (although now that I've watched seasons 1-5, season 6 makes more sense, so we'll continue the rewatch 🙂 ).

I'm rewatching Torchwood too, but I will definitely be skipping Children of Earth, unless I want to check myself into a mental hospital.
 
How is everyone liking the new series so far? I'm loving it, each ep is sooo different and I'm so looking forward to the 50th anniversary episode even if there is ages to wait lol.
 
I have still love them, the are better then a lot of TV out there, but I think they've been missing something. They've tried to go for really big epicness but I dont think they've quite reached that yet.

I'm loving Clara, both the character and the mystery around her!

This saturdays episode was excellent, I thought it actually hit the epic feeling it had been trying for all season. When Clara learned his name and confronted him I was practically wetting myself, that was crazyness!!

Although I thik there is an attention to detail thats been missing this season, the details are normally Doctor Whos strongest points, but I always find theres a question or two they just ignore, like Why did the brothers fuse together? Why were the zombie brothers and zombie Clara trying to kill them??
 
It's ok, and the episodes are getting better, my main criticism would be mainly about how the season has aired, it's so hard to piece all the strands together when a season is split into so many parts. I feel like I should have not watched any episodes and just watched the season as a whole when it was done. As it stands now, I think I'll have to do a full season rewatch.

It's been okay so far. Some episodes haven't been as good as others, in my opinion. I thought the Rings of Akhaten was rather weak, mainly the ending with the leaf, but I very much enjoyed Hide, and I am intrigued by the Clara mystery and the Doctor's name. I haven't yet watched Journey to the Centre of the Tardis. Overall, I just don't think it's as good as it used to be. Perhaps it's the pacing of the episodes. Or just the split seasons. I don't know. I'm very excited about the 50th anniversary episode, though. 🙂
 
Honestly, I'm kind of underwhelmed by Clara. For some reason I thought that she was going to die every episode. So now I don't know what the heck is going on lol.

I like Clara a lot. Which is what I like most about the new part of the season. I don't know what it is but even if I still watch the episodes but from wanting/"needing" to watch the episodes as soon as possible I'm in no rush. Even if that for me might be just half a day to 3 days...

I don't know if it's possible to not be excited for the 50th anniversary special if you're a fan of the show. Still I try not to think about it too much. I'll only set myself up to be disappointed the first time I watch it.
 
The final episode of Series 7 was shown last night. A fantastic start and AWESOME ending. The middle was pretty good too 😀
 
I think now that a lot of the Clara stuff has been explained, some things from earlier on will make more sense in hindsight.
 
Not my favourite season finale, but I did enjoy it quite a lot. I probably would have enjoyed it more had I not already known what was going to happen. Now I just wish we didn't have to wait 6 months for the 50th anniversary episode 😀
