You really don't have to capitalize every single word... it's *slightly* confusing...

1. If you have a 'copy' of Origin, it's a fraud. They only made like 200 or something, and half of the people who got the real copies lost them in some way. I know this. Believe me, I know this.
2. If you were to read anything about the band, then you'd notice that Amy DOES NOT CONSIDER Origin to be an album - more of a glorified demo, as someone else stated earlier in the thread.
3. Amy and Ben DID meet at Christian summer camp, but that does NOT mean they're a Chrisitian band. Not to knock Ben Moody because I love him, but he was the one who was pushing the Christian market in the first place, while Amy wanted a wider audience. They didn't start the band with the aim to be Christian, they just wanted to make music. And a lot of songs you listen to today can be construed as Christian if you have the right ears for it.

I'm with you on the whole 'Origin has great songs' - 'Away From Me', 'Eternal' [though not a song, BUT I LOVE IT YAY], 'Even In Death', 'Anywhere', and the best version of 'Whisper' out there all appear on Origin. Oh, and 'Lies'. LOVE LIES LOVE IT.

I'm sorry if you felt attacked, but when you come into the thread and state things as fact that aren't nessecarily true, it grates my nerves. You were on the right track at least, just a little more research would've gotten you a little more understanding.

NOW ON WITH THE EVANESCENCE LOVE.

i bought it about a week ago, and i have not stopped listening to it. it rocks, the best lbum i have bought for years.
'Lithium' and 'Snow White Queen' are just amazing, and i really like 'Good Enough'

Nice to see the Evanescence love continuing in my absence. I think that I can pretty much depend on Mesektet for that, lol! 😉

And, stateofmind, I have got to agree with what Mesektet said. Sorry but you have got the wrong idea on a few things there.

'Snow White Queen', while being one of my favorite songs on the album [check my MySpace if you have any doubts], makes me feel extremely skeevy for just being a fan of Amy Lee. The song scares me and creeps me out all in one breath, which I guess was the aim. To me, SWQ is probably the song on the album the conveys the best emotion. It makes me wanna ball up and sob uncontrollably. And pull the covers over my head and hide.

Well, I'm currently on my 15,000th listen of this cd (or thereabouts, y'know! 😉) and I have to say that it has done the impossible and actually equalled Fallen in my opinion. This is a stunning piece of work and has just recently gone platinum in the US, and rightly so.

Don't know if everyone knows this already but the second single will definately be Lithium and the band have already completed the video. Can't wait to see what they have come up with for that song.

I must have heard that song a thousand times and I've lost count of how many times I've watched You're Welcome but it never occured to me how well they go together. Good video!

I saw one ages ago about Fred/Illyria to Evanescence's Tourniquet that was excellent. I'll see if I can track it down tomorrow.

The video is gonna be a kind of snowy forest, bad Amy/good Amy kinda deal. There's gonna be Amy dressed in black and Amy dressed in white. It's a thing. The people on the EvBoard are all excited about it.

Sounds good to me. Any new reason to watch Amy Lee is only good news as far as I'm concerned, hehe.

On the subject of fanvids to Evanescence, I found a fantastic one about Dark Willow to Tourniquet. I'll see if I can dig it up, I remember posting it a while ago in the S6 forum...

There's also a really cool one done by Lee...it's Fred/Illyria done to 'Away From Me' from Origin. 'Away From Me' is probably my favoritest Evanescence song of ALL TIME AND SPACE AMEN. kthx. That song is like ear crack.

Hah... ear crack! xD
It's been out a few days now and I know that I don't need to be telling Mesektet this news but the video for Lithium has finally been released.

It is absolutely stunning, very gothic in style. It does steal elements from both the Bring Me To Life and Going Under videos but I actually get the feeling that it was intentionally done. Amy looks absolutely stunning in the vid, obviously.

Definately future Mrs Arcane material there, I think. 😉

Anyway, the vid is available here for anyone who wants a looksee.

amazing video...Amy Lee looks absolutely stunning.

i was thinking that too, about the choppy-ness, and all of the odd camera work...the random unfocusing of some shots, which, to me, just added to a wonderful video.
