K People Read The Bios When They Were First Starting Out The Original Line Up For Evansecence Started When They Were At A Christian Summer Camp And Wrote There Music On A Religious Them So Yes They Were Origianl. And Origin Wasnt Just A Demo Coz It Was Released To The General Public (belive Me I Have A Copy Which Is Not Dowloaded) So Hence There First Album They Just Didnt Get Noticed Really Well Till Bring Me To Life Was Released Shame Really Coz There Are Some Amazing Songs On Origin. And I Know Its Sweet Sacrifice It Was Just A Typo - Im At Work At The Mo And Haveing To Type Between Cases So Sorry For Upsetting Anyone There
1. If you have a 'copy' of Origin, it's a fraud. They only made like 200 or something, and half of the people who got the real copies lost them in some way. I know this. Believe me, I know this.
2. If you were to read anything about the band, then you'd notice that Amy DOES NOT CONSIDER Origin to be an album - more of a glorified demo, as someone else stated earlier in the thread.
3. Amy and Ben DID meet at Christian summer camp, but that does NOT mean they're a Chrisitian band. Not to knock Ben Moody because I love him, but he was the one who was pushing the Christian market in the first place, while Amy wanted a wider audience. They didn't start the band with the aim to be Christian, they just wanted to make music. And a lot of songs you listen to today can be construed as Christian if you have the right ears for it.
I'm with you on the whole 'Origin has great songs' - 'Away From Me', 'Eternal' [though not a song, BUT I LOVE IT YAY], 'Even In Death', 'Anywhere', and the best version of 'Whisper' out there all appear on Origin. Oh, and 'Lies'. LOVE LIES LOVE IT.
I'm sorry if you felt attacked, but when you come into the thread and state things as fact that aren't nessecarily true, it grates my nerves. You were on the right track at least, just a little more research would've gotten you a little more understanding.
NOW ON WITH THE EVANESCENCE LOVE.
