I know this is an old thread, but I had to chime in, because something major is being overlooked (as it often is). In addition to creating Buffy and bringing together a community of thousands who now think of him as a god, Joss was also the top-billed screenwriter on Toy Story, which changed the world even moreso than Buffy ever did or ever will, IMO. Granted, he wasn't involved in any of the ground-breaking, history-making animation that made the film what it is. But where would Disney have been without a good screenplay? This film isn't just a good kid's flick -- it's a good movie. And I think Joss is somewhat responsible for that. He was, afterall, nominated for an Oscar for his work.
If Donald Trump can buy himself a spot on the Walk of Fame just because he thinks he's the big "star of The Apprentice," doesn't Joss, too, deserve a spot? I agree with whoever basically said that allowing just anyone to have a star says less about Joss and more about the no-names you can find on The Walk. It may be a big joke, but wouldn't that make it even more insulting if they were never to give Joss one?
