From both past and present, what were the fashions and trends that you hate/d, from every kind there is?
 
One thing that i suppose a few will agree with me with if they live in the UK is what the Chav population wear lol. Pants tucked into their socks and then their socks pulled up to their knees, wearing those caps that you would usually see your Grandad wear etc lol.

Still, each to their own lol.

In a category of its own: Fur. Fur, fur, fur. So against it. Did I mention fur?!

The rest I just don't like without considering them morally unacceptable: 🙂

Miniskirts for daytime/casual wear: I like wearing them sometimes, but I usually just feel half dressed and over-exposed!

Aztec prints, neon, and sweater patterns that I wore back in elementary school in the 90's. Didn't like 'em then, don't like 'em now!

Menswear inspired penny loafers for women

Men's watches on women

Platform jellies which were super popular in jr high!

Platforms in general, (different from wedges! Wedges I like)

Ruffles, velvet, plastic-y fabrics

**I apologize completely to anyone who likes any of the above! These are just things that don't work for me 🙂 Oh except for the fur. I don't apologize for not liking fur!

Anything that's come from an animal into a fasion with the animal being killed, big no no!
I knew I wasn't clear enough. I don't mean 'fashion' as in clothes only, but everything.
 
Oh, boy. My two biggest pet peeves are tight skinny jeans on guys, and guys with their pants sagging so we can see what color and the brand of your boxer briefs. I am completely incapable of figuring out WHY guys do that. Tight skinny jeans are of course, subjective but not my thing. I'd like my "cojones" to breath, thank you. But the underwear showing? Do they even know where that came from? Do they even care?

I hate this trend right now of getting a feather extension in your hair. Seriously... how do you brush your hair without damaging the feather? I just don't get it.

I hated the shiny shirt trend in the late 90's and early 20's. I'd see guys wearing these shiny shirts to the club and wanted to LOL.

I also really hate the skinny jeans on guys thing... It just looks really silly and makes me think they're crushing the family jewels.

Yes! I cannot stand the things Chavs wear. It just looks so messy and horrible. Although the benefit of them all wearing the same thing makes it easier to identify a Chav out in the wild, thereby making it easier to avoid them. 😛

Real fur, fake fur (it's chavvy), Ugg boots, onesies, crocs, those stupid half jackets that cost a fortune and still leave you freezing cold, oversized handbags, handbags in general and last but not least, wearing leggings or 'jeggings' (ugh) as trousers. It makes me feel a bit sick when I see people wearing them.

Oh, I missed on: plaid shirts. Everyone looks the same.

Agree about most already said, especially fur, fake or real it doesn't matter, it's gross and so ugly. and I hate the mullet, it's horrible!
 
I hate when guys sag their jeans so freaking low, you can literally see their boxers and their whole butt area. I really don't see what's so great about it, it's really bad style.

Also, when people wear their earphones even if their not listening to music. Like, what's the point? Teachers are always telling students to put their earphones away, and they're like "I'm not even listening to music!". Well if you're not listening to music, why have your earphones in?

I hate fashion trends in general, but I do kinda follow them. I liked skinny jeans and they've been in for years now but I kinda wanna get back to wearing straight leg and other baggier styles. I love my comfortable jeans, and I want them back in fashion dammit!

Oh, and the emo/goth look for the sake of the look. There are people out there that are actually emotional for real, and not just posing and it's an insult to them. But then again, who knows where that look orginated anyway..
 
Mullets...although, mullet hunting at my local Walmart is enjoyable.

Jersey Shore...the fashion, the fame, the hair gel, etc. I just don't get it.

Furry boots. Just no. Please.

Leggings!! Why oh why would anyone wear leggings ?? ? Especially larger ladies like myself 😀 and beige ones!!! 😱 They are just scary!!! 😱

Like previously stated, fur, real or fake, I think it just looks wrong, the same goes for animal print things, obviously as a vegetarian I'm totally against the real stuff and with the fake stuff, it's just not my kinda thing 🙄

Gold! Gold anything, handbags, clothing, tons of tacky gold jewellery hanging off people and on every finger, it just looks awful!!! Arrrgghh lol 🙄

The one thing I can't stand is velvet, and it's not even that I think it looks bad, I think it looks GORGEOUS, but the fabric makes me cringe. It just sets my teeth on edge, even thinking about it is making me shiver, lol!

I don't believe I've ever seen a chav. Or maybe I have and we just call them something else in Australia.

I agree with those who've listed guys wearing low pants that show their boxers.

And mullets. They're gross. So glad I didn't grow up when they were around.

And '90s fashion in general. I can't believe some of the things my mother used to dress me in. 😀
 
I'm seeing a lot of complaints about low-pants-showing-boxers trend... Is that a thing? I've never seen or heard of it before this thread.
