Always watch movies in original version. French version is not that bad for Buffy but so many lines get lost in the way... By example, the famous "bitca" line... Totally changed, I don't know why. Well, anyway, I guess if you never watched it in English, it was because you had no choice...
Anyway, it's in 3.11 - Gingerbread, when Buffy asks Will about the mystical sign she drew on her school notes... You too : you do doodle too!

Aaah thanks... just rewatched the scene (took me a while to find is, as, you know, I'm one of those losers who still only has taped-from-TV VHS ^^ ). The translation of the line ain't that bad, but there's no trace of the soundplay funniness remaining, sadly.... so no wonder I couldn't place the quote...
And you're definitely correct, if I'd had the chance of watching it in the original, I would. Sadly, the closest I came to that was discovering Buffy running on an encoded channel... And I have to admit, I wasn't enough of a diehard fan to "watch" more than half an episode of the series with only sound, no picture. :lmao:
BTW, the "bitca"-line got handled rather well in German synch (with a German word, of course)... Still, to my eternal shame, it never occured to me that the since-become-popular BITCA as a word originated in that scene's original version. Well, guess that's a moment of myself being a little Xander-y, right? ::snail::

There's abit in Graduation Day Part 2 that ALWAYS makes me laugh, the bit when Buffy is at the dead professors house, and Angel comes to meet her there, and he slips in the hallway, and he's like, "floors have just been mopped"...it's so random and funny, I love DB.
