In science fiction, you might like to try "It: The Terror From Beyond Outer Space." Another oldie.

The only one I can more or less stand is the Scream trilogy.

I don't watch much horror/scary movies at all. I don't feel the need to it. Silence of the lambs and Seven gives me enough chills. I've never been much for monster movies. But I actually own the Scream movies. Not like I watch them a lot but I don't mind them at least.

Although I love movies like: the Scream trilogy, American Psycho, Valentine, Dark water, Taking lives, Identity, I don't really get scared watching them.

The movies that terrified me are:
IT (I get scared of clowns even nowadays)
The devil's rejects
Funny games U.S. (Not really scary, but, the tension really got to me)
The Cell
Para entrar a vivir, from the series Pelàculas para no dormir (a really, weird and shomewhat realistic movie, if I may say so)

It
The Shining
The Lost Boys
Ginger Snaps
The Evil Dead Trilogy
Hellraiser 1 & 2
Candyman
In The Mouth of Madness
Suspiria
The Thing
Carrie
Nightbreed
Creepshow 1 & 2
Near Dark
Planet Terror
Bram Stoker's Dracula
The Birds
Psycho
Night of the Living Dead

one of the scariest scenes I've EVER seen. I can't ever stand to watch that scene again!!!
first time i watched Creep i thought tht it was scary as hell,
but not as scary anymore. ;p

there's this other film, but i can't think of the name,,, it's really jumpy, i think there is subtitles , i'm not tht sure.
anyway it ends up tht it was young kids doing the murdering.
ah i wish i could remember what it was called!?

Stephen King Films are always good too,
the shining, carrie etc.

The mist is a good film too, i know it's not close to scary, but it's a good story , and with a shock ending.
anybdy seen it before?

Was it maybe Village of the Damned you saw?
The first amittyville horror was creepy. The other ones weren't though.
The grudge was good.
The return was passable. One film that was quiet scary was 'The Stuff',anyone remember that one?
: popcorn:

The funniest Amytiville for me was Amittyville Dollhouse, so OTT with Zombie dads coming back to get their son and strange voodoo practicing aunt and uncle, and a dodgy fireplace. Pure CHEESE (sw)

Totally, cheesier than a week old bigmac. Then there was amittyville the possession.A KILLER LAMP????
There is a lot of good horror movies.
Many of them has been listed already.

One movie I haven't seen in the thread that I really liked is Event Horizon.
But Alien must be my all-time favorite.

Alien still gives me the terrors,EH is good too
Hmm now this is verging into Sci Fi/ Horror / Fantasy - I too love the Alien films, my fave one is Aliens, though I do like the AVP ones too for the fun factor, there are so called Horror that isnt scary like I am Legend, but the books ending is just so much better, I also love Apocalypto, Constantine, End of Days, I wonder if anyone has seen An Eye for an Eye, another good one, or The Killing Floor???

it's not Village of the Damned, it's called something short like
"That" or something like tht
ah i've searched google and everything!
