Favorite Movie

white avenger agrees: Try "Something To Talk About" with Dennis Quade and Julie Roberts.
Will do!

I have thought of a movie that is a close second A VERY VERY close second to The Girl Next Door - No Way Out (1987)

No way out with Kevin Costner. Then first time I saw this movie was around 4 a.m. I think I started, I was downstairs sitting on a wooden chair feet up against the thing that holds the t.v. and dvd player, wide awake, it was the summer and I had nothing better to do, watching this movie right after I finished, Reign of Fire (2002) with Christian Bale and Mathew McConaughey , two of my favorite actors. That movie was good too, but No Way Out was AMAZING! First time I'd ever seen it, I was blown away and wanted to show it off to everyone I knew lol

Hey, does anybody know the movie 'Imagine Me & You'? Okay, probably because of AST. I forgot to mention it before, but that's also a really great movie and I love watching it

Imagine me and you? Is that the British film? Well, british actors anyway? Where a girl falls for a girl when she wasn't previously gay? or something like that? Or am I thinking of an entirely different film?

Tueuse de Vampires
Tueuse de Vampires
yea that's the one I mean

It The Warriors the one about the teenaged gangs in New York? I loved that movie, and I hadn't even thought about it in years.
I can't really decide, but it would probably come down between Thirteen, Mean Girls, and Drop Dead Gorgeous.
I can watch any of those any number of times...

Big Fish...I love Tim Burton as much as Josh Whedon and Big Fish is his best movie in my opinion, closely followed by The Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas

Gotta give some Tim Burton karma love all his flicks! And welcome newbie.
I literally cannot choose single favorite movies, firstly it's always changing and secondly there are just so many movies I've seen. I find it a lot easier to pick favorite TV shows.

Right now, my top favorite movies would probably include:

Cloverfield, About a Boy, The Holiday, 300, Frailty, Untraceable, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, The Ring, The Village, Signs, Sleepy Hollow, Fight Club, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Running Scared (the one with Paul Walker), Stir of Echoes...

And my favorite movie of 2007 was probably Stardust, which is also my favorite comedic fantasy of all time. (I prefer it to The Princess Bride even.)

Edit:

And how can I forget Mean Girls? I can watch this movie over and over and think it's funnier each time.

LOVE most of your choices, too! Really? Stardust better than The Princess Bride? C'mon....really? LOL!
I'm not going to trot out my favorite movie yet AGAIN. I'm sure Randy Giles will appreciate my restraint...

Oh ok, ya got me. It's Dune.

Which version, the movie or the tv mini series?
It is kind of hard for me to put down my favorite movies because I like sooooo many so I will just put down movies that I watch over and over again. (No specific order)
-Shaun of the Dead
-Hot Fuzz
-Death at a Funeral
-Juno
-Superbad
-Bridget Jones's Diary
-Any of the X-Men movies
-Rocky Horror Picture Show
-I also really love most any of Will Ferrel's movies (ie Anchorman)

So yeah I could go on forever because I just love movies!

The movie is my favorite of the two, but there are some elements about the miniseries that I like better than the movie. For instance, the miniseries tells the story more fully than the movie. There are also some small things that bother me about the miniseries, but on the whole, I love it.

Today we finished watching the movie Come and See (Come and See - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) at my Russian class. And it's non of my favourites, but I do think this film is worth mentioning, really. It's not the kind of movie you're supposed to enjoy, it's there to shock and it achieves this my great direction and effects. Believe me, after we had finished watching the movie, we had 5 minutes breaktime and everyone was just sitting there, not saying a single word, that's how shocked we all were (And we are a bunch of teenagers...almost grown up teenagers, but still). And even the period after, when we discussed the movie, many of us were still so taken aback they just sat there. These were probably the most silent 50 minutes I ever saw at school, that's how deep an impact the film made on us.

I normally have so many, so I'm taking Vicariously's way of doing things lol

You should read the book it was based on. They changed quite a bit for dramatic effect. Still a great movie, though.
