Favorite Non-OMWF musical?

and Xena had two musical episode one called 'The Bitter Suite' which is much like Once More With Feeling, could even be BETTER then OMWF 😛 and another not sure what it was called but it was basically a rockopera with old and new hits being sung 😀
 
I hate musicals... hate hate hate. But the Lion King was cool - on Broadway.🙂

Hahahahaha! That scene rocked! I used to watch that movie every night when I was little. My aunt looked a lot like her character and she would sing and hop around to that song...add THAT to the 101 reasons I need therepy...
 
My fave would have to be Moulin Rouge. That is such a great musical. I loved Greece as well, but I didn't really like the second one.
 
yeah,i gotta agree with you on that,i didnt like Grease 2 one bit,Moulin Rouge rocks!!
 
like Allycat said, if it counts South Park... but it should count since it is so damn brilliant and cleverly written....

and well, Phantom of the Opera "sing once again with me, our strange duet, my power over you grows stronger yet".... it can't get better than this, i hope they don't screw it all up in the movie

I'm stoked for The Phantom movie too, Lorne. Although all I'm really hoping for with the Phantom of the Opera movie is that the guy from Tomb Raider who plays the phantom isn't embarassingly bad. Well, that and I also hope the movie is better than the 70s rock-opera The Phantom of the Paradise. Which shouldn't be too difficult to manage. 🙂
 
Jennifer Ellison is going to be Christine lol... I am concerned about their casting choice... Busty Blonde with a career in pop covering older songs 😀
 
First Evil - Jennifer Ellison is in Phantom of the Opera, but she will NOT be playing Christine. Christine is played by an actress named Emmy Rossum

Oh - and I just realized (surfing the IMDB) where I've seen the guy playing The Phantom before. He was Dracula in Dracula 2000. I liked him as Dracula a lot; I don't know if he can sing but we at least don't have to wonder about his ability to portray iconic bad guys. 🙂

Oooo I need to order Dracula 2: The Ascention 🙂 Unfortunately the fella from Dracula 2000 won't be reprising the role 🙁
 
Wow! Lots of shows do music eps, huh? I love all the music, singing, dancing and clapping. I especially luv the clapping!
 
But Xena's 'Bitter Suite' was an amazing episode, very well written indeed 🙂 I even have the soundtrack and the VHS boxset with it on... just need to wait for the Region One DVDs as they seem to offer so much more then R2 🙂
