If that made any sense... I'll post my answer, and then I think you can figure it out...

I like Spike and Dawn's relationship. It's like the uncle that no one likes except for her.

I think there was anothe one I really liked, but I forget... 🙁

Ah, damn, I was kin da hoping this was about ships that never happened 🙁 Well, if we're talking these 'relationships' I will have to go for the Buffy/Giles one. It was nice how Giles was like a father for Buffy.

Well, why don't you make a thread about that...

I agree. The Buffy/Giles relationship is one of the things which drew me to the series. I really hope they resolve their issues in the comics.
One of my favorites was actually Tara and Dawn i jsut love how they are together in a way Tara was like the sister Dawn never had.

OH, I remember! Lorne/Fred. I love their chemistry. Probably because I have a lot of friends that are girls, and I act the exact same way as Lorne does with Fred. It's like they love eachother, but not like LOVE eachother, you know?

I also like Buffy/Xander. It's kind of an unspoken friendship. Like, no one really knows why they're friends, they just are. They just click.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves Lorne and Fred. Thanks for mentioning them.
Buffy/Willow/Xander are probably my number one favorite non romantic ship. Xiffow is just great. Espically in the earlier seasons when we would have them go over to Buffys house to hang out, watch movies, sleep overs. All things of greatness.

^ Wouldn't it be Xuffow?

lol, I loved them too. But, you can't forget the "dad", Giles. To me, it's like those three, then, the guy that 'oversees' eevrything.

Restless is a perfect example of Xuffow awesomeness. (what a great name)

I think it should be Xaffow (2 letter each)

Basically I agree with Primal Slayer.
Love the scenes when they are just friends, hanging out.

Thats exactly what I was thinking!!!
If i think about it, i like the friendships Dawn had with the gang, but i would have to go with the tara and dawn relationship

Angel and Spike. They crack me up. I could watch/listen to them fight forever. They hate each other, but they love each other. They're like brothers. I love it. In general, I love the fanged four. I know they all probably have romantic connections, but I'm talking about more than that. I love the weirdo family dynamic there. Even so, Spike and Angel are my favorite.

My faveorite's is Faith and the mayor it was kinda of dark but The mayor was Faiths father figure for a while , a Giles for Faith but leading her into darkness rather than the light x

Harmonica and LorneyTunes relationship was just sooo cute , they are both bright and loud , and happy almost all of the time its quite sweet. x

But ones i really liked

Anya and Andrews relationship was quite funny because they are both confused most of the time ha ha ha x

Xander and Spike , they are a comedy double act lol x

Giles and Wesley because they are just so different yet the same .

Spike and Clem because they seem to be quite unsual friends x

Joyce and Spike they both love Passions yay !!!!

Lindsay and Angel they have pure hatred for each other its sad and funny at times x

Spike and Angel is just really really funny when I laugh at them my face hurts so bad x

I can't believe I forgot Faith and the Mayor. I loved them! Kudos for giving them a nod.
Hmmm...there's quite a few. But while I love all the fun chemistry filled ones like Angel and Spike, and Faith and the Mayor I would have to say that my favorites lean towards the sentimental familial variety. So they are:
- Giles/Buffy as a Father/Daughter dynamic. The way he looked at her in such a calm loving fatherly way sometimes made me smile. It made me smile even more so the fact he never admitted it and she never asked. It's like they never officially said it- perhaps a mixture of not feeling comfortable to do so and also not needing to.

-The Summers dynamic. I phrased it like that because it can or cannot include Dawn or Joyce depending on when you're looking. I mean I loved the mother/daughter relationship of Buffy and Joyce in the first four seasons. It worked really well and they seemed close without ever crossing that 'I'm your Mother, not your friend' line. I liked how the family worked with all three of them. It put Joyce and Buffy on more equal footing, turned Joyce into a sort of mediator, Buffy to mature in a way that Slaying didn't make her and allowed Dawn to be the surprisingly insightful one because as the youngest she was able to observe everything. And then when Dawn was added I loved the Dawn/Buffy sibling dynamic as that worked perfectly too and the chemistry was instaneous.

And finally....Buffy/Tara in Season 6. I mean Buffy really needs somebody then. And when she couldn't turn to any of the friends she'd known for years as she was afraid of what she'd think of her Tara was the friendly, loving, unjudgemental one who was just there for her. And in return for all that support Buffy was there for her too- as for example in Older and Far Away as regards to Tara's nerves about Willow. (And this all just made it so much sadder when Tara died. Pfft)

1) You like Buffy/Joyce? No way! 2) I was thinking Buffy/Tara too.

I loved Buffy/Tara in Season 6. (ever since Triangle in S5.)
I basically agree on every single ship named so far. No need to repeat them all, but at this very moment my favourite one has to be Spike & Dawn. My guess it´s because I feel a bit like Spike in that realtionship from time to time.

Honorary mention to Anya & Andrew.

I think I kinda feel like Spike too, now that you mention it.
I loved Buffy and Tara too. They didn't have much alone time, but Tara's willingness to be completely open and honest to the person who had (unwittingly) made her feel excluded was unbelievably sweet.

The Lindsey/Angel dynamic always interested me. The obsession built realistically, and Lindsey ended up pretty crazy without going absolutely mental, which was refreshing.

Tara was great with Dawn too. It broke my heart when it was Dawn who found her body. Especially when the episode just moved away from that until much later, when she was still there.

I like Spike and Dawn's relationship. It's like the uncle that no one likes except for her.

I loved this relationship...he was such a overprotective big brother to her. Having a vampire watch your back is the best protection ever IMO.

Xander-Spike! When they share the screen together is so awesome. They never get tiresome.

Willow-Riley in S4. They were so adorable.

Giles-Buffy. I'm just so upset because S7 and S8 ruined this friendship.

Xander-Buffy. I just love their friendship. I love how they never let the issues they have with each other affect their friendship. Surviving those fights shows how strong their friendship is. And their closeness in S7 and S8 shows a great deal how they'll always be there for each other.

I´ll go with Joyce/Spike... It was SO funny and also cute *_*

I´m still in Season4, and now I´m curious about Spike/Dawn >.<

Oo, you haven't seen S6 yet?!? Please PM me afer you watch it and tlel me what youi think. It's an amazing season.
Spike/Dawn: Also one of my favourites. You're right with the "uncle" thing, it was really neat to watch. He was always looking out for her.

Willow/Xander: Always loved the kind of friendship that these two had (especially in seasons 5-7). Buffy was close to them but not in the same way, and I loved those scenes where their friendship really came out.

Joyce/Spike: As has already been said, they were just funny. Passions and girl trouble woes... *sighs* hilarious! 😀

Giles/Buffy: The father/daughter relationship with these two was always one of my faves. Especially in "Checkpoint" and when Giles returns in season 6, you really get to see just how close they had become. I'm blissfully ignoring the part where they have their tiff's in season 7, but even that happens with parents/children sometimes. With the action of the show, it was easy to forget how close those two were, Giles really was more of a father to Buffy (I think) than her Dad was ever shown to be.

I like Angel and Lindsey because depending on the situation, they either appreciated the other or hated the other.
