First three seasons of Buffy better than the rest

I much prefer to watch the earlier seasons. However, I prefer to think about, analyze, and discuss the later seasons. The earlier seasons make me happy to watch. I love the high school settings, perky, quippy, vivacious Buffy, innocent, neurotic, enthusiastic, sweet Willow, and funny, charismatic Xander. I love Oz and Cordy. I love the humor and, despite some very tragic occurrences, the fun. During the later seasons, I may not love hardened Buffy as much, and I may not love power hungry, superwitch Willow quite as much, but I sure love to think about how they got there. The later seasons are filled with more pain, emotions, and a lot more controversy, so while I may not love to watch them quite as much, I love to think about them.

Honestly, I agree with this to some extent however in my opinion, Season 1 was one of the worst seasons for me, some of the episodes were incredibly cheesy and the Big bad was mediocre in my book as the writers had no-where to go with him until the finale (Still not the worst Big Bad haha). I think Season 2,3 and 5 were the best.
