I heard the term FoJWs first at Whedonesque.com. I don't know if it's their term, or not, but if it is, here's a nod. It stands for Friends of Joss Whedon, and is used to refer to the actors or actresses, and I'm going to say crew who have worked for Joss.

I'm always hearing of, or seeing FoJWs, but unless it was a major player, it never seems important enough to start a new thread, so I thought why not a thread for all of them. It will be a reference thread.

I'll start.

Dennis Christopher, the guy who played Cyvus Vail will be in an upcoming Sci-Fi Mini-Series called The Lost Room.
Rudolf Martin, the guy who played Dracula will be in Dexter.
David Denman (Skip in Angel), plays Roy in The Office.
Clea Duval (the invisible girl), and Leonard Roberts (Forrest) are in, or will be in Heroes.
Armin Shimmeran in Boston Legal
Amber Benson is appearing tonight in Supernatural, of course.
Gina Torres is in Standoff.
Adam Baldwin will be in Daybreak.
Summer Glau will be in the Unit.
Morena Bacarrin will be in Stargate
Allan Dudyck will be in CSI
Nathan Fillion will be in Lost. (Edit), and now Drive
Jewel Staite will be in Stargate Atlantis
Kali Rocha (Halfrek) will be in Bones. Also a return to Grey's Anatomy
Julie Benz continues to be on Dexter
Michelle Trachtenberg on Law and Order: C
Richard Brooks who played Jubal Early in Firefly will be in Drive
I hear Laurel Holloman who played Justine on Angel is on The L Word.
Indigo who played Rona in BTVS Season 7 is in Weeds.
Marc Blucas (Riley) appeared in a March 2007 ep of House.

Apparently Buffy's stunt double was on Bones.

Stunt Buffy (Sophia Crawford) fights on Angel's current show. I was watching Bones tonight when I saw "Buffy" fighting while "Angel" watched.

The episode had to do with an underground fight club which Booth and Bones investigate. I recognized the physique and fighting style (and hairstyle!) of one of the fighters. Sure enough, it was longtime Buffy double Sophia Crawford. Cool to see her and DB in the same scene.

Update: Marti came on as a consulting producer for Grey's Anatomy. She will also write at least one episode.
 
They did good stuff on Angel, went to The Shield and got even better, now they're in on what one hopes is a pilot for a series based on James Patterson stuff. Craft and Fain.

# ABC has also optioned James Patterson's mystery-novel series Women's Murder Club -- which centers on four female crime-solving friends -- from director Brett Ratner (the Prison Break pilot, X-Men: The Last Stand) and two writers from The WB's defunct Angel (Liz Craft and Sarah Fain).
