For Spike fans

I already thought he was cool when he first appeared in School Hard, in that scene with Dru. I remember, while watching S2 I told my friend that I really liked Spike and that I don't want him to die. Because you know... He was a bad guy and the bad guys always died up until then. My friend already watched everything so she told me about the Spuffy relationship and all of that and I was pretty shocked at first but then... Spuffy-fan

But I still liked Angel. He was just the guy for Buffy in the first seasons and I couldn't imagine her being with Spike until I saw it for myself.

without a doubt something blue... i just thought, wow they have such amazing chemistry, spikes character went from an interesting background character to a guy i could see having real potential. The energy between them, even under a spell, i couldn't wait to see more

Angel was always a first love for me. Its that relationship you have in HS where it seems like itll last forever, but its about growing. A lot of the people who really want Angel to work are the ones who are hanging on desperate to the idea that first love is the one. I wanted to see where Buffy would go, where she would grow up to, and then Riley and Spike both showed what was next and it was exciting to watch!

Even though I've always been a Spike fan, I'll admit, I was anti-Spuffy during my first watch. I didn't like what they were doing with Buffy in season 6...I missed the witty, free-spirited character we saw in the first few seasons and I was sort of into the whole romance novel love story that she had with Angel. Even though I did like their season 7 relationship a little more, when I thought of Spuffy, I could still only see the borderline abusive relationship they had in season 6.

But when I started rewatching season 6, I found myself growing completely invested with the Buffy/Spike plot. A lot of the scenes and dialogue they had would just get stuck in my head. Then, I watched Dead Things, an episode that I had absolutely abhorred the first time I saw it, and I just loved it...in fact, I found myself watching all of the Spike/Buffy scenes twice. By the time I finished watching the scene with them leaning against either side of the crypt door, I was 100% Spuffy. I loved how complex it all was and how much more layered it was than the idealistic romance that Buffy and Angel had.
