'Forgotten' moments you enjoy

Man, there are so many. I think that in just about every episode, even the ones that aren't as strong, there are at least a few hilarious lines. I watched "Some Assembly Required" the other night, not usually viewed as a great episode, but there were some great moments to it I'd forgotten. Angel being jealous of Xander and not knowing how to deal with it, but still trying to hide it, was awesome. And towards the end, when Xander saves Cordy from FrakenDaryll, and she tries to thank him, he totally brushes her off, only to complain to Willow about how girls never notice him. There are so many moments like that.

Thinking about it a bit more, there are so many classic Principal Snyder moments. Pretty much every time he's on screen I laugh. I don't know what Armin Shimmerman is doing now, but he should get some sort of lifetime achievement award for that role.

Doing my latest re-watch, I'd forgotten a little about all the early Bangel moments, and those are always awesome to see again. When Buffy and Angel kiss at the end of "Angel", and you see the cross burnt into his skin, that was pretty powerful.

Oh, and I completely forgot! Which is, you know, the theme of this question, Xander punching out the clown in "Nightmares". That was priceless!

Yeah pepole can harsh on S1 all they want but when the cast in the very first scenes have nailed who and what they are to become is simply amazeing.

Only a few things in S1 date it other then that everything can still click well today the issues Buffy face Willows insecruatys,Xanders humor,Cordys bite

Theres nothing forgoten about S1 Im new but even I can see the magic at work here the actresses/actors brought something forth I will never forget.

Buffy: Is there anything you could say to make this day much worse...
Giles: How about End of the world?
Buffy: knew I could count on you!
 
I love Cordelia's "twinkie defense" comment in Out of Sight out of Mind, when she explains that she hit someone and how it was selfish of the girl she hit to be in pain while ignoring the trauma she experienced as the hitter. Classic Cordy, love it!

Buffy had one of my all time favorite quotes. When she was talkin to The Master she said:

"you have fruit punch mouth." Lol such a realistic thing to say to him. It gets me everytime.

This is the first and the last time in the entire series when Buffy meets somebody who's truly equal to her. Not just equal - actually more experienced and mentally tougher, like way tougher. Sid's not bellow her, he gets it and when somebody like that offers praises, well, just look at Buffy's face. It's a wonderful, precious little scene.

If this isn't foreshadowing of Buffy's pathetic personal life or a complete lack thereof in the latter seasons then I don't know what is.

That's right, season 1 is awesome. Everything that happens in the entire show is already featured in those 13 episodes. It is...glorious!

Omfg that's hilarious, she really said that? I must watch season one again...

I must be the only one that doesn't feel any sympathy for Cordy when she gives her little monologue about being "totally alone". Oh boo hoo.
 
I like season 1 very much!!! for one thing, the cast is pretty awesome throughout this season. I was immediately hooked to the way Buffy and the other characters are introduced and how they interact with each other. I immediately liked Buffy, I remember that the first time I saw the pilot episode, I was quite impressed with Sarah Michelle Gellar's acting, especially in the scenes with Giles, Mr Flutie and the ones who become her friends! They all have very good interaction with one another! I think it's something very hard to get in the pilot episode of a show and in BTVS, Joss and the writers got it right!

Although I admit that the first season has a bit aged concerning the filming aspect of it and the action scenes, the script is already top-notch just like the acting and all the metaphors that are the trademarks of the show! There are a few episodes I could watch over and over like Never Kill a Boy on First Date, Angel, The pack, Teacher's Pet, The Witch, Puppet Show which is great, and of course Prophecy Girl!!!
I re-watched this season recently and I had forgotten how good Nightmares was actually!!!

I watched some episodes of season 1 this weekend and I realized once again that there are plenty of funny scenes or dialogues, even in the final episode (a great finale with Buffy's white dress, her fight with the Master before and after her short "death", and some symbolic elements already announcing Season 2 with Angel and Buffy being the last ones to get out of the library).

I didn't remember the funny dialogue between Giles and Buffy at the beginning:

Buffy: Last night
was a pretty close call.

Giles: (distracted) Yes.

Buffy: Giles, care? I'm putting my life on the line battling the
undead. Look, I broke a nail, okay? I'm wearing a press-on. The least
you could do is exhibit some casual interest. You could go, 'hmm'.

Giles: (still distracted) Hmm? Oh, sorry. Um, yes, I'm very glad that
you're alright. Uh, I-I need to verify, um... I just can't really talk
right now.

I like the dialogues in this season! I find them especially funny, witty, sometimes full of irony! 😛
Never Kill a Boy on the First Date remains the funniest! after that, probably episodes like Angel or The witch and the Puppet Show have also some very funny dialogues!

Example: in Angel:
Buffy: Do you snore?

Angel: I don't know. It's been a long time since anybody's been in a
position to let me know.

Buffy: So! What'd you do all day?

Angel: Uh, I read a little.

Buffy looks over to her diary. It's out of place.

Angel: And just thought about a lot of things. Buffy, I...

Buffy: My diary? You read my diary? (goes to put it in a drawer) That
is *not* okay! A diary is like a person's most private place! (comes
back to him) I... You don't even know what I was writing about! 'Hunk'
can mean a lot of things, bad things. And, and when it says that your
eyes are 'penetrating', I meant to write 'bulging'.

Angel: Buffy...

Buffy: And 'A' doesn't even stand for 'Angel' for that matter, it
stands for... 'Achmed', a charming foreign exchange student, so that
whole fantasy part has nothing to even do with you at all...

I love the scene from Witch when Buffy sings macho man after she's been cursed with a bloodstone vengeance spell.

This scene always makes me giggle. i love it
While not really a 'forgotten' moment in that I remember the scene, I always forget just how powerful Buffy's speech to Giles is in Prophecy Girl. I cry every time I watch that scene. This was the first scene in the series where it truly hit me just how young Buffy is. I knew she was only 15/16 when the show started but for some reason it never really bothered me until this scene.

Especially when Buffy screws up cheerleading practice and Xander interrupts her when she's about to reveal Amy (possesed by her mum) is a witch.
