Forum Changes - New Descriptions

If neccessary yes we can edit them manually.

Lee - Its not the post count that makes the member, its the way you are with other members. People are not going to think less of you because you don't have a high post count. It doesn't change who you are.

Your an admin, great, your higher than everyone else here, and you should be an admin, because you do a great job, you have the title as an Administrator.
But with me, the only thing I had to show for was my post count, and that I spend a lot of time here...but now, its like its all gone...and I completely agree with you and what your saying, and thank you for your post, whether it was aimed at me or not...
Its just...Im a little shocked is all...

I agree Lee,...well,my post count isn't too low,but I still get what you mean,...I'm shocked too
 
Look. Please dont take this the wrong way, in what Im saying.
I dont mean to sound all angry, and rebelious or whatever, and I dont wanna start a big debate about this...Im just voicing my opinion...
 
And as you continue to post your count will go up again...


I'm sorry - I understand that you are sad to see your counts go down...but its a number. And frankly, if people are so concerned with post count, then no wonder the board is going out of control with spam cause there is an obvious reason behind it.

'Crap' is in quotes for a reason. Because I didn't really mean crap. But there needs to be a place where people can discuss things where the threads don't get bumped off the first page in one day.

People have been talking to me about this for months - mods have left because of this. The boards were too cluttered to find anything or to be able to join in on discussions. It's overwhelming to new members and to me as well.

This was just a spring cleaning of the forums to get them organized. Let's try it out - if it doesn't work we can always go back to the old way.

n4h - We moved the Scooby Doo Stuff to the Character forums. And I think most of the Firefly stuff is in the 'new' Caritas. It is a fine distinction, but we sort of thought, if its news about the actual Buffy related people it can go in news, but if its more of a discussion of "Did you like the show / movie" it should go in Caritas or the character forum. Hope that helps. Of course this can be tweaked as we go on if it doesn't work.

Lee - It's okay to voice your opinion, just give us a chance to explain our reasoning and please try it out for a bit and see how it goes 🙂

We've always asked that you voice your opinions so we're not going to shoot you down for doing so 🙂
 
Also, we did this (forum descrips change) so that it would be clearer to you guys what goes where, cause we thought it was a little blurrier before.
 
So if it is possible to change your post count manually why couldn't you just leave us with them?? Just don't get angry

Its great to see everyone not being all grrr I think the descriptions have helped the board out alot so what if we loose a couple thousand posts we can build them up and this way it probley wont happen agian...
 
That would just take up to much time when they could be using that time to make the forum better..Everyone already knows your an avid poster Ana8 and we all know your obsessed with David Boranaz that post count doesn't change that all it does is say I post alot but we already know that....Its not that big of a deal is it... I know it feels like you lost everything you've posted for but you haven't...
