I was just thinking, we know there's not likely to be a Buffy movie because SMG said she wont do it unless its perfect but there could be a Fray film, after all you don't have to really even know about Buffy to read Fray because she's not even really in it at all. So they could make a Fray film, they wouldn't need any old characters or actors/actresses because its all new, OMG they could even make a series, how good would that be, I so wish they would!!!! lol

I know!!! Wouldn't you love the job casting that? Or would you do it animated?

If they did do a Fray movie, I think it'd be something like Minority Report.

You'd have the technology and et cetera in the visuals, but it wouldn't be your strong point.

And I'd love for a short Buffy cameo in the beginning...

Oh yeah, like you know that bit where Urkon tells Fray the Origin of the slayer, and he's telling her about the big final Slayer vs. the demons battle? Wouldn't it be cool if the camera zoomed in, and it was SMG.

So many Fray scenes that would look so good on the big screen too, like the demon world scenes, anything with Vrill and Boluz, or Fray diving off the tops of buildings, or the big final battle with the giant worm, or even the shower under the eves-trough scene.

Ah, I think I would faint. You know I've always speculated that it was Buffy and to see that on the big screen would send chills up my spin.

But honestly, I think a five minute intro into the final battle featuring Buffy, Faith, the Scoobs and the Potentials would be enough closure for me.

Seeing the Slayers fight off the demons while Willow works some magick to banish the demons and then seeing poor Buffy dragged into that portal...

Yeah and remember..."mystical partners". There could be room for David Boreanaz, James Marsters and Amy Acker in that scene too.

Hey, I just thought of something. Doesn't Urkon say something like it was "the last slayer" that had the big battle? Would that mean if it was Buffy, Faith was dead? I think he meant the last watcher-trained slayer, but Faith would still apply.

A Fray movie would be great, and it wouldnt cost over the top, you have I Robot that had a lot of CGI robots running around and those cost a pretty penny. The only thing that would cost so much is the demons and a few CGI scenes.

Yeah from what i can remember (re-read it through the other day) of Fray there isn't too much techy stuff like in Minority Report. The budget would have to be spent on the demons and stuff.

Someone started a topic (may have been n4h) on who would be the best actress for Fray a while back. Thinking along similar lines, Urkron- CGI or guy in suit?

My reaction was "no no nooo" when I first read the topic.. But I always react like that. When I first heard about Angel I thought I was going to cry it sounded so bad (I've totally changed my mind about that now). And a Fray movie could be really good, if it was made the right way and all that. I believe it could be interesting.. hm..

Um... Fray isn't really very Minority Report - Minority Report is sort of an exagerrated version of the world we have today. Fray is a bit more... Fifth Element. Kind of a cartoony world, but populated with gritty characters. I'd love to see it as a movie, and I was very impressed with the jumping and falling in Spiderman 2, so it could be filmed well.... I'm just dubious about how likely it would be to happen. If they stars aligned just right, and Jill got her wish, Natalie Portman would be playing the starring role... 😀

I love me some Natalie Portman, but as Fray? No way.

She may have a physical resemblance to Fray but I doubt she could play that character and have the audience believe her. Plus she'd probably want to shy away from the Sci-Fi genre after her stint with the Star Wars prequels.

I'd personally rather see an unknown take the role.

Also anyone looking for any Fray information, here is a great site:

and also a very interesting picture that has been debated heavily on Buffy-Boards:

I just thought it'd be fitting, seeing as she's sort of the face of Fray and all. But you're right, she doesn't strike me as Fray rough-and-tumble type. I would have gone for Jessica Alba, if Max hadn't been an almost identical character, and if Alba hadn't lost all her credibility with Honey...

Maybe she will rebound with "Fantastic Four", whiche hopefully will be done well.

A lot of people have said that Eliza would be perfect for the role. And I concur. But they would have the do the movie before Eliza ages too much. Or would that be weird having the girl who played Faith also portray Fray?

She would have that whole "F" thing going for her.

😀 I was going to mention Dushku, but then I though "No Jill, Godammit! Today you're going to get through a whole conversation without Faith coming up once..." I had my one-day chip all polished up and everything...

Given that Fray is suspiciously similar to Faith (Right down to the mental/ physical scars, and straight laced blond counterpart) I think it might be a bit much... Shame though...

I think it would have to be anuknown to keep the budget down and also because i cant really think of anyone suitable for the role of fray, i dont think dushku should do it, it'd be too weird lol!!!
