French man loses kindergarten teaching job after getting tattoo

I'd want to know why he did this to himself, what he wanted to achieve and why. To me it seems like some sort of mental health issue, a desperate need to not conform. I'd like to know where that comes from before I let him near children. His need to break social conventions may go deeper than a little body art.
 
I think on principle we shouldn't be allowed to fire people based on stuff like tattoos- but this is clearly extreme tattooing.
 
I once made A LOT of money (by my standards anyway) taking children to see the Hannah Montana movie. I got so much business from parents and grandparents not wanting to see it a hundred times that I had to hire help.

I would NOT have hired him. Not even if I personally knew him and he had my complete trust and I thought he was one of the kindest (if very strange) men I ever met. The idea does amuse me, but I wouldn't have done it. Because if I did then it wouldn't have worked (though I think more parents would object than children).

Though that said...if he's truly skilled at school administration then he might make a good principal at a school for unruly kids. (I smarted off to more than one principal, not sure I'd have had the guts to smart off to HIM.) I know he's not lucky enough to live in the the Land of the Free where prisons are always hiring, but maybe he could be a prison guard? 😛

Probably.
Why?
Maybe because he is a French man he might not know how to speak the English language, and if so that is a good reason to sack him.
