Some Game Of Thrones fan thinks Hodor might be a horse, so get ready to insert your own jokes about how he’s already hung like one. Like most fan theories, this one developed and contains just enough evidence to keep it on the right side of plausible. I love GoT fan theories! But I do think this makes sense.....
 
I heard that theory as well. It's a cute theory but it's not going to be what happened. Bran will have mucked it up and Bran will be the one that caused Walder to turn into Hodor.

I was so pissed. That a- it really deviated from the book and b- you were right.
 
It's the same actor too! I forgot how long it'd been since we last saw him, he grew up!
 
What about the scenes with Bran watching Ned at the Tower of Joy.... I think it's definitely alluding to a popular internet fan theory there.

Oh I certainly do. But I do like the fact that they are playing with history and what we know of it is not always what happened. I still think Bran is going to really affect some things. I do think he is the cause of Walder becoming Hodor and I wonder what other mischief he might unleash.
 
I like the fan theory that Hodor was a warg, and that he suffered brain damage when his animal was killed while he was warged into it.

I think his animal was Lyanna's horse... and that because of that he's the only living person who knows that Lyanna and Rhaegar were consensual lovers, and that they are the true parents of Jon Snow. Hodor is a name or word that has some key relevance to unlocking that secret. I think Bran will see all of this before too long.

Howland Reed is alive and in theory he too would know. I just think the horse fan theory is too 'cutesy'... Benioff and Weiss might do it but I cant imagine it would actually be written that way. It just really sounds un-Martin to me.

It would explain why Bran was able to shift into Hodor, but Bran forcing himself into Walder in the past could also explain why he could shift into Hodor in the present.
 
I watched half of S6E3 on TV (didn't manage to watch it in time) without knowing a lot about what happened in the first two episodes except a few spoilers.

Oh my. Filler. Predictable dialogues. Obligatory violence and nudity. Plot twist that no one cares. This show is turning into what that bore-fest "Hero" was becoming after 10 episodes or so.

Jaqen looks more and more like Lindsey. It's very distracting.

Yeah... it would have been difficult for Ned to keep Howland in the dark, given the circumstances. Maybe eventually Bran & Co. will meet up with Howland, he will meet Hodor and the sound of that name/word will motivate him to reveal what he knows (or suspects).

I think that's why they said that Bran still needed Meera. I think she is going to take Bran to her father- as just anyone cannot find the castle- and he will learn the true story.

I knew she didnt have him, but up until that point I did think their being captured was simply subterfuge. I guess I was wrong. But it was nice to get a version of the pink letter.

I think Sansa will sodomize him with a sword is how he will die. LOL.

But he wasn't actually there - it looks to me like he can see but not affect. When he called for his father, Eddard didn't hear or see him.

According to the books at least, Howland knows about Lyana. He was there at the tourney, and he was there when Lyana died. I'm figuring that if Bran went all the way into the north to find the 3-eyed crow, it won't make much sense to go south to meet Howland Reed. But Reed could be the one who reveals Jon Snow is actually Jon Targaryen iif L+R =J.

As for Bran, I really hope he's not gonna be just exposition guy. And I would love to see Rickon kill Reed. I kinda wondered if we would ever see him again.
