I understand what you mean..but i still dont understand why it is ok to deny homosexual people the rite to have a religious marriage, beside the religious comments you stated before, although some of them i dont agree with, but im not syaing i dont belive in God and Jesus

FYI: Italian governement has recently passed a law to ban out unnatural ways to get children like sperm donors and such. Only IFV is allowed now, but only if the parents are of different genders 🙁 I hate that little fat piggy president of theirs humpf! What a mean dumb dictator!

I know that I am going to get a lot of flak for this, but I kind of agree with that decision. I don't see why people feel the need to make a baby of their own when there will never be a shortage of kids needing homes. Why would a person prefer to impregnate herself with a random sperm sample than just adopting a child? Parents can even adopt newborns so that they can be there for the child's entire life. Would you really prefer to raise the spawn of some bum who gets paid to... erm... provide a sample in a cup each week? That's just my opinion.

By the way, what is IFV? I looked it up on the acronym finder website and it gave me some Latin phrase about fencing, a military vehicle and a Swiss soccer team. 😀 Did you mean IVF?

Vampyr: I don't mean to gang up on you, but are you sure that a legal binding is the same as a marriage under the law? It is surprising how many benefits a married couple gets on their taxes and things. Do legally bound couples get the same?

Also, although I am not religious, I share your concern about the rising trend of divorces. It seems like the more popular divorce becomes, the less permanent it seems and the less people respect its significance. I feel that one of the most important functions of marriage is to keep two people together long enough to raise a child. If two people cannot make it that long, they should not get married for the sake of their potential children, including adopted ones. I am not opposed to two people getting married without the intent of raising children, because marriage also represents a long-term (ideally permanent) commitment between two people. Because a union for the purpose of child raising or a display of commitment is not specific to any sexual orientation (as long as gay adoptions are legal), there is no reason to discriminate.

Sorry if I am beating a dead horse, but it is hard not to when there is only one person with a different view. 😀 No hard feelings, I hope. You should stand by your opinions if that is how you feel.

Then you wouldnt technically be married in my opinion. I dont see the point in getting married unless you are doing it to prove to God that you only want to be with one person for the rest of your life. I'm assuming that that is why there are so many divorces these days, because people no longer get married for God. I dont know why people get married if they arent doing it for God. It seems like a pointless exercise.

Again, marriage is not a christian practise all over the world people from all different cultures marry. Why people in America would want to get married, when they're not doing it for God? Because it is the ultimate commitment of love. (And then there's the juridical advantages.)

OK, I agree with you that some Probably, I dont remember... but I stick by what I said, however, I dont see a person as being Gay unless they do act upon their feelings. Otherwise they are just feelings. We arent condemned for those... but its when you act upon those feelings that you are choosing to be Gay and to defy the will of God.

If that is really the will of God, then after I die, I'd rather burn in hell, then serve him.

I second that notion, and if you do have to go to hell, why? you get punished for an eternity in hell for a sexual feeling, which you didnt chose to have in the first place. I think it is perfectly fine for a gay couple to adopt and i think its ok for sperm donation, but yes i would have to agree that adoption would be a better choice.

Thats a good point, I dont like god, hes stupid with stupid rules and makes people bow down to him and what do we get in return? nothin!
