Gay teen burned and decapitated in Puerto Rico

I read about this last night. I can't ever comprehend things like this. It makes my heart hurt.

This is an especially stupid argument. What's wrong with two people who love each other getting married, I ask. The people who really ruin the sanctity of marriage are starlets and stupid rich kids who think it's fun to get married in Las Vegas for 60 hours.

I really just want to tell those people, "You don't want gay marriage? That's fine. Don't have one. But don't deny people who love each other and want to get married their rights to be equal to heterosexual couples."

Just to follow up on that, Mumrik, I now present...for your information...this guy, making the same points you just did but with more eloquence...

There is an argument oft neglected which can be used for gay marraige: freedom of religion. If I am a Unitarian, or Pagan, or Buddhist, etc. Priest who wants to perform a gay marraige, and the state says it's not legitimate, they are denying MY right to practice any religious ritual that doesn't harm another person.

So, I'm surfing Yahoo! Answers and I came upon a particular interesting question.
"How can we as Christians prevent a child from becoming gay?"
Read the answers. Some people are on our side.

"Kill the purple dinasour!" I have to admitt that made me chuckle..... don't quite get what good 'ol Barney had to do with it though. 😉

On a more serious note, I'm glad that so many people stood up on there. Pretty much all of them sounded like they were disgusted or strongly disagreed. I'm glad some people are accepting this. The world has more important things going on that we need to worry about . Why can't people just mind their own damn business? If two people love eachother, let 'em get married. Everybody has a right to happiness.

Oh and hehe, one of the people who answered had an Illyria avatar. 😀

Some of those answers are really infuriating. I try to not read stuff like that cause it upsets me so much that there are such self-righteously hateful and ignorant people out there and there's nothing anyone can do to change them.

Racism, sexism, homophobia, age discrimination... all completely useless. I really hate people sometimes.
