Hi!
It's Charisma and it is also Prom time for me! I need to choose a dress but I do not know how tot go about it. I was reading a magazine at the dentist and I found out that different dresses suit different people. There was one girl who said that she had Blonde hair, green eyes and pale skin she asked the magazine and the person said that a light pink or blue would suit her. Anything that has light colours
I have got Black Hair, Olive Skin and Chestnut Brown eyes. when I asked they said that I should go with either Black or red or maybe a gold colour
But which dress should I choose.
Can you help me girls, do you have any pics that I could look at and get an idea?
 
Hey,well im on the lookout for pics,when i have them ill post them...personally i think you should go with a black,shimmery dress (like what Cordelia wore) black flatters every figure and shimmery fabrics catch the light,so I'd go with the black 😀
 
yes deffinately a black one which will catch the light. My prom wont b until next year but could you tell me what my colour would be- i have dark hair which is hi-lighted, quite pail skin and dark eyes
 
Lil Slayer I think just like me I think you should go for a black or maybe purple would be good for.
 
thanks wanna get it sorted out early so i know which one i'm gonna go for. then get it fitted next year lol
 
You can never go wrong with black, but I think that a gold dress would look great on you, especially with olive skin. Just look at the dresses worn to the oscars. A lot of celebrities went with gold. Try some of the nicer department stores, or you could see if there are any prom or formal wear stores near you. You could also search online for prom dresses using a search engine, but shopping online is a little difficult. It could help you get some ideas, though.
 
I am thinking of this dress for the prom, although I am going to get the neckline and the sleeves of this dress changed, as that would be a bit too revealing. But the dress pattern will be the same.

Based on your complexion and hair colour, have you considered a nice cream or burgundy coloured dress? I think that that would look so elegant. Did you see the one Oprah wore to the Oscars last year? *(could have even been the year before that).

I agree with Kindred, burgundy is a good colour. But loving the black pics one, even if it is changed i think it's look great.

While black is always classic, you want to really stand out at your prom. Alot of people will be wearing black.

When you were describing your complexion, I was thinking the EXACT same thing that they told you...a gold or a red. Your complexion looks amazing in Jewel tones...not alot of people can wear them. You are very lucky!!!!!

If it were me, I'd go with a striking red. You could do a jewel-toned blue that would really set-off your eyes.

Lil_Slayer - so many colours work with your skin tone. What would be really amazing is a matte satin ball-gown type dress...strapless, in a deep burgundy.
 
Hi guys, thank you ever so much for helping me, I knew I could count on you. Taking your advice that I should wear a red or a gold I have chose two dresses to match my complexion.

While I like the colour of the red dress better, I prefer the cut and style of the god one. Any chance you could combine them?

Most importantly though, which one do you prefer?

To be honest my favourite is the Gold one but I do have black hair so I guess the red would suit me. I was wondering what you guys thought. Also do you think the pattern on the red on is good
