Glee Thread

Did anyone else see the video with the first look of Damian on Glee? I did, multiple times 😛 I would post it but I can't find it on YouTube yada, yada.

Let's just say, he's soooo adorable! I'm going to love this character until the ends of the earth and back and I don't even know what I'm saying but whatever. And Rory fancies Brittany. I'm not like a huge Brittana shipper so I don't mind and I don't think they're going to let Brittana go anyway. But you know, RORY FTW! Or Damian FTW! 😛

I'm not obsessed or anything. No way.

Only just got around to watching Asian F and I thought it was a bit dull. I don't really like Mercedes so I found her bits a bit annoying. The bit with Mike and his mum was quite touching though, he has a surprisingly good singing voice.

I'm a Glee fan. I love Kurt and Finn, there my favourite characters. I dont like the storyline with Quinn at the moment and Mercedes is getting on my nervous as well. Other than those two I'm really enjoying this series.

I thought this ep was good, but I expected more because of the name. Where's my damn public brittana kiss?!?!

I'm sick of the writers trying to make us feel sorry for Santana. She's been such a complete bitch for the past two seasons but we're supposed to feel bad that she can't be out and proud? I did feel a little sympathy for her when she told her grandma and how that all went down, but over all, I'm just over Santana and I'm over Brittana.
The only storyline so far this season that has me wanting to tune in is Puck/Shelby and Will/Emma. Those two storylines take me back to the things I loved from Season 1. Everything else has me rolling my eyes.
Speaking of Puck...He was right to tell Quinn she is a trainwreck, 'cause she is... She seemed like she had changed for the better while she was pregnant with Beth, because she was such a nicer, sweeter person and now they've ruined her. She's a crazy, manipulative bitch and I don't like that. We get enough "crazy, manipulative bitch" from Rachel.
I'm not loving this show anymore. I love the music, but the characters are almost all on my nerves these days.

I'm seriously confused about all the Finn hate in the Glee fandom. I know he's flawed, but he's not the dickhead some fans claim he is. As we've seen in the last episode he was the one who did the best to help Santana embrace who she is.

I'm sick with all the gayness. I mean, I'm homosexual myself but...can't they write about something else? Gay problems of gay people acted by hot guys so that all those 16 year old girls who dream of having a gay best friend will go on watching the show.

Seriously! As a gay person myself, I feel like they're exploiting issues of LGBT youth and it's annoying. At least it's not last season which was downright ofenssive in that respect.

LOL!! YES!!! I'm bisexual, and I enjoy a great gay character, but the whole damn show is about gay folks these days!

I'm bisexual, and although I don't hate all the 'gayness', I do agree with you that it is a bit too much. I mean, about half of the storylines is about gay people.

Totally! I mean, I like the Santana character, but really- an entire episode devoted to getting her to feel better about herself? Please! Although the scene with her abuela was heart-breaking.

This cracked me up! 🙂

And did anybody else catch the David Boreanaz reference? Loved that! 😀 That's OK that Sue didn't want him, more for the Merrick schedule.

Santana as a character has always been too bitchy for my taste. I found Brittana interesting in the very beginning but it didn't take too long before the interest started to fade. I don't know, maybe all the fan craze helped with that. Especially with their hate for Brittany and Artie. Not that Santana and Brittany can't have their moments. Because they do.

I'm happy with Puck this season. Just waiting for him to mess up again but I hope he won't. I wasn't a fan in the first season. People drooling over the hot jerk. Please...

Don't care for Mercedez anymore and I can't defend Quinn anymore. She needs help and I hope she can accept that.

I've been a fan of Mike and the more we see of him the better.

And did anybody else catch the David Boreanaz reference? Loved that! 😀
If any Buffy fan missed that they need to get their ear checked out. Or listen more closely while watching. 😉

Just watched the ep. I definitely caught the David reference 😀 I feel sorry for Bieste and Santana but mostly when she had to tell her Gran, her Gran's reaction was exactly what I expected as they'd built Santana, up all episode, for a fall. I still love Puck and Finn as always. And I'm chuffed that Rachel fessed up, although I'm worried for her chances of going to college. I think neither her or Kurt will be able to get in so they'll keep them close by as they'll be leaving at the end of this season so they would still be able to pop in for guest appearances.

I can't believe I forgot to comment on the Beiste storyline! My heart sung for her in the last episode and broke for her in this week's episode... Poor Shannon! I really hope Cooter (anyone else think it's hilarious that he's Cooter the Recruiter??) gets his act together and realizes that Shannon is awesome.... Although I do hope Emma will try to give her some tips on how to act more like a lady. I love Shannon, but all the food scenes GROSS ME OUT.

I don't think it's to much gayness in Glee. It's really unusual that there are 2 gay couples in one series, and it shouldn't be that way, so I'm happy they're pushing the norm a bit.

However, what I am getting tired of is how dragged out and strange this Santana/britney thing has become! COME ONE ALLREADY! I LOVED Brittana, but I feel like they've ruined it now when they keep milking it. I just want Santana to be herself again and kiss Britney in front of the whole school and don't give a damn what everyone else think. This last ep I also felt like there was a whole lot of "hot girls being gay is hot" stuff going on that I didn't like at all. And I also wished Santana wouldn't have encountered any problems with her grandma when she came out to her. I know that coming out is a real problem for a lot of kids and that sucks, but it would've been nice to have been shown a more upbeat side to gayness that does exist after the Kurt story that showed how difficult it can be to be openly gay. I like that they are putting the spotlight on these kind of issues, but I think it's time they show off a more varied picture of coming out is like.

That sure got me thinking of ****ing à…mål or Show me love as it's known around the world. I wonder how many here have watched it. I bet Miki has but beyond that.

Sorry for the language, although censored, but it's the name of the movie here. Which actually is really toned down from what they first thought of calling it.

I've seen it
On the subjects of Santana being a bitch and the gayness.

Santana is a bully. I don't care why she's a bully, she's a bully. And it drives me crazy that the writers are explaining her bulling away as if to say "it's ok... she's a tortured soul." Um... it is NOT ok. Santana is JUST as bad as the kids who slushie the glee club. Bullying can be physical or verbal, but both are just as bad as the other. And that needs to be said. This is why since we first heard it in the batch of preview songs for the album, I've wanted Glee to cover Mean by Taylor Swift. When it became a single, I was CERTAIN they'd do it. And now I don't think they ever will. But I want someone to sing Mean to Santana. 'Cause god knows she needs to hear it. I mean imagine Rachel saying "Someday I'll be living in a big old city, and all you're ever going to be is mean. Someday I'll be big enough so you can't catch me, and all you're ever going to be is mean. Why you gotta be so mean?" It'd be brilliant.

ANYWAY... the gayness. I blame the fandom. This summer, all of the stuff coming out of the glee fandom was "this character's not gay but they should be." I can't stand the people who wan't Rachel and Quinn in a relationship. Santana and Brittany. Kurt and Sam (Blaine to go away) and Puck and Finn. There are people out there who want EXACTLY that. And it's like "Not every character in your show can be gay. I'm sorry." Plus, I feel like thanks to Glee and Lady Gaga, being gay has been "the cool thing." It's less so now... Glee's toned down and Lady Gaga is so irrelevant.. and that's why. But it was so annoying to be a gay person for the past two years (for me at least) because everyone assumed I identified with Glee and Lady Gaga. That's what gay people did. Glee was "the gayest show on TV" and Lady Gaga was "the modern Harvey Milk" (the later of which I have a hard time even typing because I feel it disrespects one of my heroes). They both capitalized on the problems of the LGBT community, made them "the cool thing" and made us their pawns. And of course, there are all these gay people who like this stuff simply because it involves not straightness... and the straight people who like it for that reason and say it's ok because the gay people like it too. 🙄 It drives me nuts. I'm glad they've toned down. I do hope they find something else to talk about though.

I don't think there are too many gay characters; I just find it unbelievable that 50% of the cast is either gay or bi. We've got Kurt and Blaine (and that dude from his old school), Karofsky from last season, and now we've got Brittany (who is bi) and Santana who is a closeted lesbian. Also, what the hell was the point of Lea having to sing part of the lead vocals on "I Kissed a Girl"?? That song should have been sung by Santana and Brittany if anyone.

I just stated watching Glee and am totally and completely in love. It's delightfully campy and fresh and hopeful and just...awesome. I love musicals, so this should come as no surprise.

I'm still on S1, so we'll see how it goes.

Ohhhhhkay, so it's time for another comment that may end up being longer than I intend. I always have so much to say in this thread.

I am really liking season three, I have to say that. It is ten times better than season two which was just the biggest trainwreck and was so hard to sit through. However, I want Santana to go away. They can't redeem her for me now. I've been over her for so long and just I want to hit her in the face and I want her to transfer and Rory can have her spot on the show or they can bring in Marissa von Bleicken from The Glee Project and make my life. That's all I want. She reminds me of so many people I know. She has no reason to be the way she is. Being a closeted lesbian is NO excuse to threat everyone the way she does. She needs to grow up. Finn was right to say what he did to her a few episodes ago, no matter what anyone says. Can someone just give her what she deserves already? I'm so over the idea that I'm supposed to feel sorry for Santana being bashed over my head. The end of it is that I don't feel sorry for her, I never have except that one time with her grandmother or whatever and that didn't last long. Bitch needs to learn a few lessons, and leave.

I realized that I missed Chord Overstreet and his trouty mouth. Let's just hope he gets some actual good storylines. I admit to being over Kurt a little bit, and a little over Blaine too. Sebastian is one sexy bitch! Brittney doesn't do anything anymore and it doesn't bother me. Mr. Schue had some great stuff in the beginning of the season and now he seems to have faded away agian. I love Sue. I love Bieste. Beth is the cutest thing ever. I actually liked the Christmas episode. Oh, except for Rachel and her extreme bitchiness in the beginning. I can't believe she just took Finn for granted really. But later on they were cute and I have fallen back in love with Finn recently.

I want to write a whole paragraph on The Glee Project. I watch TGP more than I watch Glee. I've rewatched it many times, I have all the songs on my iPod and so I want to talk about it. Damian is the cutest thing in the world. Rory is my love, baby! I want to give him a hug. As for Lindsay's character Harmony...I actually want her back. Lindsay's voice knocks Lea's out of the park. She's only sung two songs on the show and they were perfection. I actually don't care that Alex is going to be on the show soon. He can come and go as far as I'm concerned. I'm actually feeling the same about Samuel, because I was never a fan of Samuel's acting. It should have been Marissa and Damian that won with Lindsay and Cameron as runners up or something. If they put Marissa on the show my heart would soar and then they could have Cameron come in and they could have a relationship on the show. <3 Sorry, Glee Project love.

CAN QUINN JUST SING BEFORE SHE GRADUATES?! She remains my favourite character. There are some videos on YouTube about her that just make me cry. It's not her fault she got lost and she seems to be finding her way. Maybe a Rory/Quinn relationship could happen...oh, god please! Her scenes with Rachel in the Sectionals ep were so good. And she has such a pretty voice so just let her sing. Oh, and I'm happy Tina got something to do recently but I'm sick of it being the Blaine, Kurt, Rachel show or whatever. They always seem to have more focus. I loved Kurt first season but just...I don't even know.

Oh, and I stand in the minority. I didn't like the Adele mashup. I wanted Someone Like You to be sung on the show so badly but I wanted it to be in this big, heartfelt, emotional state. That ruined it for me. It made me so sad. And I get that it's a good song for Naya but she sings too much now and some people don't sing at all. Sigh. Oh, and I Kissed A Girl was the worst! Naya sounded amazing but WHY GET LEA SINGING ON THAT SONG? Her voice is not suited for it at all and it was forced and arghhhhhhh. I have so many feelings.

Oh, and Ryan Murphy said on TGP that he rooted for Lea but he didn't root for Lindsay for some reason and he wasn't sure why. I'm the opposite. I root for Lindsay despite her flaws and I don't root for Lea and I don't know why.

Sorry guys, I'm done. I'm still loving season three.

I liked the christmas episode, lots of feel good cheesiness. I didn't like the religious aspect of it but obviously I understand why it was there (it being christmas and all..), it was nice to see Sue being good for a change. I think I preferred the last christmas episode though; the songs were better and so was the storyline imo.
