okay, i am now going to act like i have a plethora of time on my hands, because this is something i just need to delve into. call it a quirk, or whatever you will, but i will now give a brief analysis (well, ill try to make it brief 😛) on each of the ships on that poll. i know i just explained what i was about to do; call it another quirk.
Bangel (Buffy and Angel)= i ship basically half buffy/angel half buffy/spike. im just on the fence. i like both relationships, but in different ways, and i dont feel there needs to be 'an ultimate' love for buffy.
Briley (Buffy and Riley)= did not like them so much. however, my hatred for riley (though strong) has waned a weensy bit. especially since he marries someone who's not buffy 🙂. plus, there are much worse pairings out there!
Spuffy (Buffy and Spike)= see buffy/angel. the only time i couldnt stand this ship was in s6. it just got terrible there and i didnt like it. it wasnt healthy, and i know that was the point, but that doesnt mean i have to be a fan of it.
Fuffy (Buffy and Faith)= i see where it comes from, and im not an avid shipper of it, but im not against it either. not major comments for this ship.
Tillow (Willow and Tara)= love love love love! :heart: one of my favourite buffyverse couples ever! tara was a wonderful character, and they had a sweet, great relationship not based on the fact that it was a lesbian one. both characters grew and changed from this relationship.
Willow and Oz= okay, i love willow/tara, but i love willow/oz too! thats allowed. they were so cute! 🙂
Willow and Kennedy= i did not like it. i might have grown to like it in time, but even thats not for sure. i did not like kennedy as a character, i do not think she was a good match for willow, and i think their relationship was rushed (and yes, i understand why that last one can be an invalid argument, but its me-logic 😛. sorry; i see the 'mom logic' above me 🙂)
Xander and Cordelia= i did not prefer them to xander/anya, and i did not love them, but they were good. it was funny, and a good growing point for her.
Cangel (Cordelia and Angel)= sorry, i dont support this ship. its not icky like cordy/connor *shudder*, but i prefer angel with buffy, and the relationship just didnt peak my interest. it seemed off to me somehow.
Xanya (Xander and Anya)= ah, my other favourite buffyverse relationship!!!!! funny, great matches for each other, deep love, deep tensions. t'sall good 😀.
Giles and Joyce= before i knew about jenny, i shipped for them. now i like them both. they did work well together, plus the whole 'band candy' hilarity 🙂.
Fred and Wesley= oh look! another favourite buffyverse couple! they just had this great and sweet love that was wonderful.
Cordelia and Wesley= believe it or not, i dont hate this that much. they werent a major couple, and it was just kind of a humourous, awkward thing that never even really worked. if it had gone much further than it did, i probably wouldnt have liked it. they ended up good friends, and that was certainly better!
Lilah and Wesley= well, let's see. i love lilah, i love wesley, i love the couple and all it entailed. yup, this one checks out too 🙂.
Cordelia and Connor= thats who i voted for. ew ew ew ew ew ew ew!!!!! i think others before me have already explained it better than i could.
Angel(us) and Darla= i was going to say i felt neutral about them, but i dont think i do. i like angel with buffy, so thats immediately points against them. also, ive never enjoyed the darla plotline of angel s2 that much. but, thinking further about it, i think i like that plotline better than i used to, and it could not have happened without this couple. so, while i dont like them as a couple, i do like how their coupley ways contributed to the s2 plotline about darla. also, without darla/angel(us), wouldnt angel be a long dead irishman named liam right now? 😉
Spike and Drusilla= i really like this ship. they were good evil together, it was the first sense we had that vampires could love, it was cool how he cared so much for her, etc. and so forth. i think this opinion was assured for me the last time i saw 'lie to me', when buffy is about to kill dru, so spike tells the vamps to let everyone go. that shows how much he cares.
Spike and Harmony= for purely comic purposes, they were good. for nothing else, pretty much. but because it was comic purposes, and not creepy or anything, i have no particular hatred for them.
Faith and Xander= i have nothing against what they did in 'the zeppo'. i have nothing against them re-referencing it, or maybe faith flirting with him a little for whatever reason. as an actual couple? a world of no. i just dont see it.
Spike and Anya= i think they really do get each other, as they mention in 'entropy', and as is clear in 'where the wild things are'. however, aside from meaningless sex, id not be a fan of any actual relationsip between them. especially since i love xander/anya so much 🙂.
Fred and Gunn= i love fred and wesley, but these two were so darn cute! plus, gunn is awesome. they're like the willow/oz to willow/tara in my eyes. not true loves, but still awesome and adorable.
Cordelia and Doyle= believe it or not, and bash if you must, this is my favourite couple for her (and really the only one for him). it may have to do with him dying so early. it was sad, and left the aura that there was this potential for them that could have worked. also, it didnt have time to go sour. i think i like her better with the xander and doyle dork-types than the heroic angel types. i think they were good together in what i saw of them, and would have made a good couple.
Dawn and Xander= i have new apprieciation for this couple. i mean, ive always liked dawn's crush on him. that was cute. but (i think its a lot of the dander-shipping BBers influence 😉), i have a new like for them possibly being a future couple, once they are bit older and etc. they care about each other, and are sweet together. and since anya's dead 🙂(), theres nothing upsetting me about this ship on that front.
Willow and Xander= willow's crush on him earlier was cute, and you couldnt help but feel bad that xander didnt notice or respond. i liked their little affair in s3 for what it was also, but it was good that it ended. they have the ultimate friend love for each other. they are best for each other that way. its almost (not exactly completely, but almost) like a brother and sister dating. i prefer them better as the best friends that they are.
now that i have wasted about a half hour that i dont have doing this.....em, its not good 😛. and to top it all off, i will inevitably get bashed, since i either praised or criticized almost every buffyverse couple or potential buffyverse couple. feel free to ask me to elaborate about anything, since i didnt very much due to the sheer number of all those couples i just commented on! just please, hold back the shoe-assaults 😛.
