Synopsis : The series' protagonist and title character is Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), who is accepted into the residency program at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital. R. Knight), ex model Dr. Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl), and an arrogant Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers). Meredith is in a romantic relationship with her attending Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) a stranger she had a one-night stand with, and is the daughter of the renowned surgeon Ellis Grey (Kate Burton), who now suffers from Alzheimer's.

This is one of my fav shows ever!
I'm on S12 and I adore it. It used to be a lot better imo in the first 10 seasons but it seriously amazes me
 
I started watching it last night while I was working and I had a hang over from too many holiday movies. I started re-watching Season 2....

The pick me speech still makes me cry after all of these years.

Its a decent show. I'm really only interested in Derek and Mere if I'm being honest 🙂 And I'm so much like Meredith, we can both be a hot mess sometimes. lol.

I love Izzie , Cristina, Bailey, Addison, Derek , Alex & more too 🙂 that I won't mention without a spoiler 🙂

is really boring..
seriously I do not see what she finds in this guy. their scenes are boring .. the actors have no chemistry .. I'm bored as hell

Aww I liked him. It just felt rather sudden and abrupt but Izzie wears her heart on her sleeve. And this is the epitome of getting too close to your patient which is always Izzie’s problem.

I agree Izzie has her heart on the hand. But in fact the patient does not move me at all, it may seem heartless but he dies or not, I do not care about it . So all the moments with Izzie seems false to me, I'm not touched, so I do not understand Izzie and I find the time long.
 
Awe I liked Denny and Izzie.

But Mer/Der just gets you all in your feels, especially s2 Mer/Der.
I've scene basically every episode. I've watched this show since it first aired! So I know just about everything, but no worries I won't spoil anything. I'm just excited for you, you have so much awesomeness ahead!
 
I think I watched an episode here and there when it first came out (btw, I'm shocked to learn it got 14 seasons!) I probably did so because of Katherine Heigl, who I'd loved on Roswell, but it never really hooked me. I have been considering going back, mostly because of JDM this time 😉
 
I feel bad because..................................... I like Addison... I know I should hate her because she broke my favorite couple but I can't. Also Derek is an idiot, he left Meredith for his wife and now he is angry because she is seeing someone else.... typical behaviour of someone who is jealous but hello boy you are the one who broke with her so you can only hurt yourself ^^

Addison is a fan fav. Eventually majority like her.

Idk I sometimes wonder if Addison had never cheated on Derek and Derek had still met Mere how would that have gone down? Derek says early in S2 to Addison, I once thought you were the live if my life. Would he still gave fallen in love with Mere if he was happily with Addison?

That's an interesting question. If Addison had never cheated I don't think he would have gotten together with Mer, because he would have never moved to Seattle. He would have never met her.
But it's been a long time since I watched the first season. Were Addison and Derek having other marital problems besides Addison's infidelity? Happy people for the most part don't cheat. Maybe something was already wrong with the marriage.
