I tried to watch the pilot episode last night but my kids were being hell, so I'm gonna rewatch it today. I got the gist of what was going on but I missed a lot of the dialogue, so I still don't know a lot of their names or why they were on the ship. LOL
I love Adam Baldwin in this though! I like him as Jayne a lot better than as Hamilton...

I may catch hell for this, but I think without a doubt Firefly is Joss's masterpiece (you have to give Tim Minear a lot of credit too). And I say this as a huge Buffyverse fan. The ensemble cast, the set, how they shot it....the Big Damn Movie and the story behind it....it's just absolutely perfect in every way. I don't know what edition you have, but after you watch the whole series through, be sure to watch the extras and commentaries. I'm about to do a one-day full-series rewatch with Pharis and a big pile of yummy food because it's been about six months...I'm so excited for you!

You won't get it from me. Without a doubt the best first season of any of his shows and it didn't even get a full season. Granted both Buffy and Dollhouse first seasons was even shorter but it was planned like that which Firefly wasn't.

Firefly, Serenity and Done the impossible is a given in my collection. If you don't have Done the impossible get it now. Done the Impossible - The Fans' Tale of Firefly and Serenity Not directed to Rack but to anyone who likes the show.

I finally got to watch Serenity with Shempy yesterday (without falling asleep this time... you know that embarrassing tale of mine, right? :blush: ) - and my only complaint about it is that me should have gotten MORE OF IT than a dozen excellent episodes and one kick-ass feature movie. 😀 Seriously, there's not a single stinker in the bunch!

Oh and indeed... Jayne. Hamilton. No contest. (And not just because I'm kinda partial to beards ^^ )
