~~gurls...

killerdwarf-you're right and you're truly a wiseman..and yes I've high expectations and not much to offer, so therefor I'm really aware I won't find anyone, which is cool

Soulgasm-not all girls are shallow like that..If you really care then don't stop looking for your perfect one🙂

'gasm, I'm friends with a girl of the type you speak of. Well...heading towards not being friends with her, actually, but that's another story. She's a guys worst nightmare: demanding, superficial, money-hungry,etc. Above all else, she's confusing as hell. I'm stuck being her advisor on all love matters, and it's to the point where I'm just fed up with it. She says "pfft..I'm going to make the money in my relationships" yet she finds rich guys attractive. She dumped one boyfriend (a really sweet guy) for some "good-looking thug". And now, she's moved onto this *loaded* guy in England, who has "manners, intelligence, and good taste". But, they're relationship is almost purely sexual (nevermind that they live on different continents). She says she craves love and a connection...yet she refuses to fall in love with this guy because "I don't want to get hurt blah blah blah". But, hey, I can have alllll the long distance sex I want. Hell, I'm right in there with the guys: I don't understand us females AT ALL.

lol...killa...great story...damn...that must've been sweet man...you have no idea how that galvinizes me...

i'm feeling allot of luv...i apologize about making those statements in a general way...i know that most gurls aren't like that...i was in a sick sad little world mood...

okay yall...she isn't a b i t c h...i'm sorry if i gave that impression...its just that...falk i don't know...maybe she is one...

angelsbabe...speaking of the gurls like that...i tried to get with this christian chick that was a work a holic that is exactly how you describe...she gave me her phone number...and then like...totally like...cut me off...so that was pretty b i t c h i n...getting rejected by a surfer nerd chick with tats on her forearms...lol...

this is what i've learned...usually good looking chicks got that confidence i like...i know i'm looking for spirit...cause pretty much if you look average or better...i'm down...but its so falkin hard finding one with it...i know that all gurls are special...but...some gurls got a different energy...

oh yeah...sorry if i didn't make this clear...i'm not short...i'm 5'9''...and my good looks do turn heads...i'm started noticing that bout a month ago...

trust...i'm feeling you...lol...long distance sex...that's horrible...

i know that until someone new comes along...it will still falkin hurt...i'd like to thank yall from the bottom of my heart...lol...that's so gay...

i guess i'll just keep training and learning...something good gotta happen...

Gasm: The best revenge is being yourself...and being true to yourself! Sometimes, no, most times, you don't have to go looking for revenge, if that's what you want to call it...it comes to you, if you are true to yourself. I do feel sorry for my long-ago ex. She is in a rough spot now, and I wouldn't wish divorce on anyone...never done it, don't wanna! That doesn't mean I don't have part of me doing this: 😛 ::evil::and :: fantom . I'm shallow enough to feel vindication when others wrong me, then realize I was right.

Hang in my brother...you may never understand 'em (Mr. P will back me up here) but you will find the right one!

To everyone else who commented: Thank you all. I'm just a regular guy who's lived long enough to see lotsa shiz...if my stories help someone out, that'll be bandwidth worth wasting IMO! And stop making me blush...

Ana8: You have a lot to offer...you ladies have to believe in yourselves too...that way you won't pick losers. Once you think you're less than what you are, you settle for less. That being said, no guy is perfect...you will have to settle for a guy with flaws...we all have 'em, just ask Mrs. D, my girl Jenny, elmo, Mrs. P, or any one of the hundreds of ladies here! Just pick the non-relationship killing ones when you're deciding what you will tolerate.

I vouch for the D here... he's right... all of 'em got some kinda flaws...

Take my man for instance... he's messy... but he's a nice guy, he's hygienic, intelligent, funny and he's not Brad Pitt but he's cute and lovable and i wouldn't swap him for the world... I'm planning on being the Mrs. Mike of the future! 😀 (gotta lotta lurve for this man🙂)

*What's happening to my typo accent... it's going all weird*

Anyway Ana8, there's a right guy out there for everyone... so that must mean there's a right gurl out there for gasm right? And there should be some to spare for all those gay folks out there! 😉 So everyone should be happy... trick is to find them!

At the risk of being called a crawler 🙂 I am totally backing you up here KD. You keep telling the stories my friend...the world (well the board anyway🙂) needs as many sensible, level-headed folks as it can get to balance against the flakes and loonies (btw is Canadian money still called loonies?)

Yup, the loon or loonie is the basic unit of the Canadian monetary system. Our one dollar coin is called the loon because that is what is pictured on the "tails" side, with QEII on the other. Our $2 coin is a polar bear, with the Queen on the other side (no jokes about the Queen with a bare (bear) bottom, please!). It's called a toonie, which was a bit dodgey since it happens that "toonie" is Jamaican slang for, uh, a female body part...why that mattered, I have no clue...

Pardon my deficiency, but what is a crawler? I can guess, but I'm not sure...and whatever it is, you probably aren't one anyway, bud!

A crawler is someone "who seeks favour by behaving in a servile way" according to my dictionary. So I guess it would translate as "suck-up", "toady" or "sycophant". Sorry matey, I do forget that not all us English speakers use the same colloquialisms - and, what with there being a thread about it as well, you'd think I'd remember!😉

Crikey! This post has forced me to the dictionary three times now... note to self - must stop using these fancy-pants words🙂

I have seen a trend recently...good guys get b**tchy women and good women good loser @ssholes! HA! I'm being a total pessimistic which isn't my usual way (It's a down on the world day!) but the past several months have been showing me this trend...I see it all over...

Oh! My favourite expression for this type: obsequious toady! Now I got it!

chas...you got something there...maybe cause we tend to go for people that are completely opposite to us...maybe to fill a void or something...

I feel that you should just find someone that seems to complete you, and if you are both honest (as can safely be in a relationship) you will learn to understand that person.
To hell with trying to learn about men or women, just learn one person, it is a more attainable goal.

i don't know man...i think its harder to know a person truly than to know a gender...the elder womyn in my family continue to surprise me...and i've known them since like...forever...

plus...i've already cracked womyn...already got the master key...just gotta use the master key to find the one it fits the best in...

the key to womyn...is confidence...in your stride...in your eyes...in your gab...in your wit...if you got that down...peice of cake...even hot chicks go goo-goo eyed for that resume...even if you don't got bad ass confidence...fake it...till its manufactored by activities that breed confidence...training...talking to gurls...surfing...lol...

Women also have crazy tendencies, which I think can be summed up in the Frasier episode:

Niles: Come on Daphne, we're going to be late.
Daphne enters
Daphne: I'm sorry, but when I was putting on my skirt my heel went right through it so I had to change my skirt. Then that didn't match by top so I changed it to this one. And of course I couldn't wear a brown top with a black brazier so I changed that. Then I had to change my underwear, just in case I go to the emergency room.

So crazy, and I've asked a few female friends and they say they're the same.

Should've replied sooner, but you know how it goes!

The way I figure women are in charge, and you'd just better do what they say.

Reason why they are in charge... is 'cause of the headache's, if you don't listen to what they say during the day, they'll have a headache at night... it's their secret weapon, we don't always realize it maybe, but it's there ;D

Thats not true we could have cramps 😛

But seriously we aren't in charge and neither are you guys though you want to think you are... and the changing thing is true i'll admit it.. thats just cause we wanna look good.. some guys do the same thing though

You know, for the last two years I have been head over heels in ummm like with this one girl. She's demanding, superficial, money hungry, VERY FICKLE, and worse yet, she only see's me as a friend because she only dates guys in a band. Yeah, I know, "Get Over It, Guestage" sorry it's not that easy. Although this girl has all the qualities I usually try to avoid and those qualitys damn well should be avoided, I can see past it for some reason and really appreciate her for those qualitys even the mixed signals she gives me all the time are confusing but comforting. Call me glutten for punishment, but even if she will never ever feel the same about me, I still appreciate the nervous, scared, excited feeling she gives me everytime I see her. Maybe that's the key to it all when it comes to boys and girls, maybe if we all started seeing past the little quirks and heartbreaks in relationships and actually take notice that these qualities that we hate about the opposite sex are just traits that can be appreciated to some extent then maybe we won't have something to hate each other for. Alright, I went off on a rant sorry. I hope it made sene.

So so true, ana8, please please never settle, there are men out there who will treat you the way you DESERVE to be treated. Heck I was with my ex for 12 years and took all kinds of crappy treatment (he was my HS sweetheart, we started dating when we were 14). If only I knew then what I know now.

Sure my hubby drives me crazy sometimes, he's SO messy, he can be unorganized and I swear he walks in the house and things just start falling out of their places onto the floor. 😀 But he loves me for all of my faults too. He treats me like I am the most important thing to ever have been placed on this planet.

I guess I'm just saying that it takes time, whether you're a guy or girl, to find that one. But when you do, you just mesh. And you can be yourself and you're not judged and you can wake up and look like hell with your hair sticking up and he/she will still think you're the most beautiful thing ever.

I think you have to date the bad before you can appreciate the good.

Oh and with the Ex, I had everything, we built a house worth over a quarter of a mill, had the perfect matching BMW's, on paper, yeah life was perfect, no money worries, just a couple preparing to start a family.

Well I left EVERYTHING. The cars, the house, everything IN the house. I grabbed a bag, packed it with some must-haves, and took off to my sister's place. And never looked back. Wasn't going to settle for the abuse any longer.

With my hubby now, we struggle. I was out of work, (laid-off twice - stupid high-tech) his salary was considered under the poverty line, and we rented this really nasty place in a REALLY bad neighbourhood. But we had each other. It didn't matter we didn't have enough food to eat even 2 meals a day. Things got better. Slowly. Now we have a nice-sized townhouse, a nice car, and we're planning a family together.

I guess I just added that in to show about the money thing...the right girl won't care about it...she'll love you for you, no matter how many dudes come along in their fancy cars flashing their money.

Jenny, my girl, you are truly a lady of character, and you are so right about this ^^! And to just walk away! You really have a big pair...of ovaries! I'm awed, and we all should be inspired...and I'm not just saying that 'cause you made me blush. ::blush::

Thanks for the story....

LOL well that reply made me blush and giggle!!! Thanks very much for your kind words, I didn't think it at the time but I realize the choice I made required alot of courage and strength, and I am definitly a better woman today for it.

I try and share that story alot, hopefully people can learn from it, I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through what I did, divorcing at a young age is NOT easy (or any age really, but being 25 and already divorced was just hard to deal with). That's why I'm so adament that people don't settle. You might think that despite the fact that you are miserable quite a bit (or whatever the situation may be), they love you and you love them, and should be together. Honestly, there is someone out there who can make you unbelievably happy, make you feel completely fullfilled, like you can take on the world, like you are always loved, and protected.

Ok now I'm just rattlin' on here! 🙂
