Yeah, I agree. It can be tough. I work in archaeology. Unfortunately to get a real steady job in the field you need at least an M.A. Otherwise I would bypass this whole process haha. Though I have a huge chip on my shoulder because of the education system here in the U.S. I think I might just be jaded.

Archaeology is awesome! But you're right, I know a few people in that field and they are all going into a M.A. to get a job. Unfortunately, it's like that for a lot of research type jobs. Do you have the options to do an M.A. with an intership or a thesis? I find that helps because it's less class focus and more work focus.
I'm doing my MSc in chemistry right now, so I also need at least an Masters, possibly a PhD to be working in that field since I want to do research.
