LOVED this episode. Not only is there a lot of psychological sentiment in there that we could could possibly philosophize about, it's incredibly funny. Dare I say the funniest episode I've ever watched? I think so. My favorite quote: "It was YOU!! Who are you?"
Something really great about this episode, and S5 in general, is the insight it provided on Harmony. Before, I had always considered Harmony to be an incredibly simple character. Funny, yes, but in an unfortunate way where we are not laughing with her, but at her. Now I'm not so sure. She's not too intellectual, so she couldn't never really pull off any sort of conspirical deceivement, even to herself, but I think that she's one of those people who are so simple they're complex. Kind of like most guys when they're younger. 😀 The things she does are all so predictable and so... shallow. She never seems to do anything particularly sentimentful. It is in fact rather difficult to imagine what's going on in her head. Almost as though she never outgrew the boundaries of adolescence, never became an abstract thinker. I simply cannot imagine Harmony ever pondering something minorly philosophical, like knowledge or thought itself or something deep like that. 🙂 But at the same time, she seems like such an honest person. Her desire to fit in, to feel important, is really quite impeccably intriguing seeing as her behavior is quite human even though she's a soulless vampire. Although her thought level is much more two- dimensional than some others, her emotions and the way she acts on them are what really makes her interesting to me as a character.
