Has Buffy Influenced You On Baby Names?

First of all i just wanna clear it up that i don't have any kids.... but i know if i did i would probably be influenced quite a bit by Buffy. I feel torn between Buffy and Patrick Wolf related names... not to mention my obsession with Greek God names...

So heres a few names i feel i would call my kids (when i do get some...):
Eros (boys name) - Named after the god of Loves son
Willow (girls name) - Need i explain more?
Triston (boys name) - Named after a song by Patrick Wolf and also meaning Sorrow.

I also have more but i feel i may sound even stranger posting every name. ha ha!

I know i may sound sad having names in mind already but i do think about the future quite alot and i would love children to be a part of it.

So there goes!

Kids? no since I never plan on having any.

Pets are a different matter. A couple of years ago when I was getting a kitten I was determined to name it after a Buffy character.

Alex (Xander) for a boy or Tara for a girl. There was a bit of confusion when she was brought home, the guy originally told us she was male, but the vet finally confirmed it was a she lol.

I'd already named her Alex. So instead of Alexander shes Alexandra.

Though in eastern astrology I was born in the Year of the Rat, so should I ever got a pet Rat it'll be called Buffy.

I gotta say though, if I ever got a kitty...which is unlikely unless it's one of those hypo-allergenic or whatever cats because I'm all allergic to the hair....I'd get a girl kitty and call it Miss Kitty Fantastico 🙂

hey! thats my plan! :P
There's no way on Earth I'll ever have kids. But if I did, I'd consider Fred for a girl (given how strict regulations for naming are here in Germany, it would probably just pass as a middle name, though) and I'd be dead set on Willy for a boy (though that wouldn't be a Buffy reference, really - it was my Granddad's name).

So not Fred for a boy then? Scooby doo anyone?
Yes it has influenced me and yes I tried, but my wife pulled the "I'm giving birth I get to veto it if we both don't like it." card. I really didn't want to argue it at the time.....

I really like Alexander being shorted to Xander rather than Alex, sounds very cool to me.

For girls I've always liked the name Willow, not sure why. It would not fit our daughter though, at least not when I think of the early Willow character, my munchkin has a very rowdy personality!

My wifes name is Terra(!) and its even spelled the right way!
Go Inlaws!

If I ever had a boy I was going to call him Andrew but that's just cos it's a good Scottish name. I don't think anybody would pick the name from watching Andrew on Buffy. I find it ironic that the name means manly and brave.

It's funny, because I kind of decided just the other day that if I have twin girls, I want to name them Willow and Tara. And if I have triplets, Willow, Tara, and Anya. 🙂

Aside from that, not really.

I don't think Buffy has influenced me on baby names, I'm pregnant with a baby girl at the moment so names have been something I've been thinking about a lot recently. I already know her forename (Jennifer) as it's something I promised my mum many years ago, but the middle name is the one bothering me. I have considered Buffy related name's, like Amber and Dawn but it feels kinda weird to me, to name my child after someone on a TV show. I guess it's alright for pets (coming from someone who owns 8 fish, 5 of which have Buffy names) but i'm not sure about children.

I don't have & will never have any kids, but I do have 2 cats - Spike (the demon cat from hell) and Angel (the sweetest cat known to feline kind).

I have a dog, too, but her name has nothing to do with the Buffyverse... however... the next pet I adopt , if it's a female, will be "Buffy" & if it's a male, I may name him "Oz". 😀

I really like the name "Xander" for a boy, so it could be possible 😛. But I'd never call my girl Buffy or Willow or Cordelia...
Angel is nice name, though I see it more for a girl
