Let me begin this by saying that I love Highlander, both the movie and the television show. I saw both versions of H2 and still didn't give up hope. H3 sort of left me confused, but still, the action was pretty good. I had real hopes for H4, even though it abandoned the whole "Connor was the winner," concept. After all, by that time, Duncan was my favorite Macleod anyhow.
Then came "Highlander-The Source," the proposed first installment of a trilogy, not only starring Adrian Paul, but, finally, offering a reason for the existance of the race of Immortals (forget about the Planet Zeist crap, PLEASE!!!). My hopes began to rise.
Then I saw the movie on the SciFi channel...
Don't waste your time.
I have always prided myself in finding something enjoyable in every movie that I have ever seen. I even managed to grin once or twice in the butchery that was made of Poul Anderson's "The High Crusade." "Highlander-The Source," however, manages to accomplish something for me that no other movie in my 60 years of life has managed to do: make me not only hate it, but hate the producers, directors, and actors involved in this abomination for robbing me of two hours of my life that I might have spent more comstructavelt picking lint out from between my toes.
In case you might have still missed my subtle opinion of this...(I would say dog, but I LIKE dogs)...AVOID AT ALL COSTS. be assured, you will thank me for the warning.
