well, being a teacher...when you see vowel-consonant-e in a word, it makes that vowel a long vowel. (We call that magic e...it gives it's power to the vowel to make it long). So, the 'a' should be pronounced as Aaaa (like the letter's name), not ah. (like apple)
So, I would pronounce it as: Luh-hane...long a in there!
