How often do you rewatch?

Almost never re-watch, I just don't have the time. So now it's never about going through seasons so much as just watching random episodes I'm in the mood for. (When I have tried to do complete re-watches it usually only reaches the earlier seasons, then life gets in the way along with reluctance to watch some things)

I actually take back what I said about the HD version... the cropping and scaling is really bad in some scenes. The picture is much sharper for sure but I think an HD 4:3 version would have been the way to go. Trying to format native 4:3 into 16:9 means a lot of cropping.

I think one issue with the new HD versions are that Joss didn't work with them to restore them. Normally the originally creator/director would be involved in the process so that it is staying true to their vision. And not everything needs a big glossy HD updating. Maybe a show like Buffy would lose some of its cultness without some of the rough edges or televisional shooting style. Then again if they'd only done a better job...😀

Yea I'd be fine with a sharper version of the 4:3 format. I don't need Buffy to be widescreen.

True it round have been better if Joss was there too oversee it but it's like they just didn't care enough to see the show. I do think that a sharper quality would attract younger viewers who are used to the quality of shows now. It's like the problem I have with the early seasons of The X Files and season 1 of Buffy. I just don't like the grainy film texture. Of course there are other things that date the show that can't be fixed but if the picture quality can then I think it should. But keep the 4:3 and the dark lighting.

I rewatch seasons when I want to revisit specific topics or storylines. I haven't watched Buffy or Angel at all from start to finish in awhile; I'd say I'm due for that now.

I first watched the show fully in 2005, and since then I've maybe rewatched both Buffy and Angel a total of maybe fifteen times? I have lots of shows that I love so I can't do a rewatch too often these days, I think I watched the show six times in a row when I first discovered it.
My last rewatch was in early 2015, and after I finished the shows I added in all the comics, so it was a veeeeery long experience, but well worth it.

I'm not sure. It's been a few years now for sure since the last time. Watched it maybe 5 times or more all the way through. Angel is probably as long since I watched. Firefly and Dollhouse more recently.
