Wow... This makes me feel old. I'm only just off the scale at 23, but still... Ouch!

Yeah, this isn't really the kind of place that has a huge amount of pre-teens or young teenagers I suppose, and the ones we do have a are generally mature and well written above their ages.

Buffy is a mature show (Angel even more so) and to be honest, I just don't think it's suitable for a lot of 13-15 year olds. Of course it depends on the child, and if they're watching it with supervision so they can discuss what their watching, but I don't know if many 13 year olds are old enough to be discussing things like rape, torture, and having hate sex...

I'm 16, I started watching it when I was 14. I'm mature for my age. And so is WishingOceans. Like you said, it all depends on the child. I do know some people who don't even get the humor, so of course they wouldn't understand the rest.
It's funny how being a Buffy fan that you have to be pretty mature.

By the way, concering the age of Buffy watching...when I was about 12-14 maybe, Buffy was the coolest thing among kids my age and we all watched it. Those were the later seasons already, but you see, today's college kids (though probably not high school anymore) were already old enough for the original run of the show.


And I still get ID'd for everything. Even worse, a few weeks ago I was on the train and some 13 year old brats thought I was their age. That was seriously like the worst insult ever for me.

I turned 24 a couple of months ago. I still have to prove I'm over 18 with my ID-card whenever it's required though. Maybe 'cause I'm short? 😉

It's interesting that old/older is something that isn't looked positive upon in many parts of society. I think it says something that I myself just wrote that I still get carded. Like I have to explain to you guys that I look young. It's really strange. Especially since I like getting older. I like that I have gotten more experience, understand how a lot of things work that I didn't understand when I was younger and that I am a more accepting person now both towards others and myself. I'm not saying that younger people isn't capable of these things, of course not, and every person evolves in different paces, but as you gain more experience, meet more and more people, maybe proceed to a higher education, move away from home and stuff like that... It helps you grow and change, and I'm really grateful to be at the stage I am right now. Just imagine how friggin' awesome I will be when I'm 40! 😀

Twenty-seven here as well; still get carded sometimes though; mostly depends on my hair cut. The teens saying the pre-teens make them feel old makes me feel like I should be buried in the deeper well. Kudos to the younger folks for practicing proper grammar and punctuation; can't stand text talk.

Truth be told. I have stopped counting (and celebrating). So when someone ask me I somtimes have to stop and think about it. That can't be a good sign can it? 😉
