How was your day 2: Electric Boogaloo

If feel dumb for getting this math question wrong:
A bat and a ball cost $1.10 in total. The bat costs $1.00 more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?

Anyone else dumb and get this wrong?

@Anyanka Bunny Slayer
The answer is 5 cents. If the bat costs a buck more than the ball and the total is 1.10, then the ball has to be 5 cents. The bat costs 1.05... a buck more than the ball at 5 cents. For a total of $1.10

Math is not one of my strengths anyway. And since there wasn't a prize if I'd gotten it right, being wrong is fine with me. 😄

In other news, my futon just tried to kill me again. Long story short, the frame is partially broken and I THOUGHT I'd propped it up securely. Well, I didn't. And I realised that when my ass hit the floor. 😋

I got so much housework to do. Its all a bit outrageously messy. Yarn everywhere. Dog toys (and their stuffing) everywhere. Hay, everywhere. If its too wet outside, I might skip walkies for cleaning. Remind me NOT to start with the kitchen or I will never get out of there. Yes, lets start with the hallway or spare room, something that is easy and not distracting!

Boy, it's a good thing I've been a baseball player. ⚾🏏

.............and I still can't get my boogaloo to work.

I accidentally did a "reply all" on a congregation wide text message and now everyone else is too. My phone hasnt blown up like this since 2014 😝

Super. My coworkers brought their child with chicken-pox to the office. Which I've never had. So now doing what I can, then leaving early because I don't feel like getting chicken-pox as an adult.

Maybe not too late to get the vaccine!

That's awesome. I miss the days when bringing contagion to work was socially acceptable. We can't even do that here anymore.

My hands just do not want to work tonight. Dropped the lettuce spinner all over the floor, then knocked a glass on the way to the bin and smashed that all over the floor. This was after spilling an entire glass of milk on the couch, and dropping the fork into my pile of crochet. I really have to be strict about using mugs instead of glasses. I did have the glasses packed away but when visitors come, I use them and then forget to pack them away and start using them myself so this stuff is really my fault for doing a dumb thing like that. Mugs only!

And the tv doesn't want to work 😭 for once the sad react emoji is actually required.

Here's a test for anyone from the UK or Ireland- What is this?

I have to choose which bills to pay. Two (instead of three) cartons of cigarettes, a tank of gas, my phone and the cable bill are the priorities....and THATS a little over $600 right there. Holy freaking hell, I need to adjust a few things in my life.

If I stopped smoking and got rid of cable again, I'd be saving about $400 a month.

Is this a month? That's gotta be a week, right? Aint no way your jalopy gets by on one tank a gas a month unless you just never go anywhere.
Yes, it's per month. Since I'm not working at the moment and I haven't been feeling well for a couple of months, I've been home a lot.

Bop Yes- but where do people see these plates often?

IDK (I was guessing with Burleigh - Churchill do a similar one). I'm from The Potteries originally so I've seen it before. Great Pottery Throwdown? I think it's filmed in Middleport and Burleigh is nearby.

That's interesting I've never seen that show, where I know the plate from is just a place not a show, it's a place all across the country where I think the average person would be most likely to recognise it from.

Had to drive twice on the weekend, so today is gona be a couch day. I've already taken Harmony for a walk. She is SO much stronger than she used to be and has so much more stamina now. We were walking for at least 45 minutes and she didnt sit down for a rest at all. She used to plonk her butt down and refuse to move after 15 minutes. Today the only time she stopped was to try and eat something she found at the park. Now both puppies are asleep on my lap. Lilah can have a walk later.
