How was your day 2: Electric Boogaloo

Yesterday was good. Took the car for a maccas run. Oh and the dog too. Went walkies with Lilah along the harbour. It was stunning. Lilah was a star, lots of people and other dogs. She does not like the beach. Then got maccas so I've been well fed on leftovers for 24 hours now.

Harmony got a good walk today but I dont think Lilah needs one as we did go a decent distance for a little poodle yesterday.

Today I have spent most of the day trying to get something to load on the tv to watch. Would have been better off putting on a dvd, i would be half a season in by now!
 
I honestly feel like a new person today, after taking some of my refilled medication. It was like night and day! I've felt like utter crap for quite awhile, but today I felt... reborn. And I actually ate something healthy for dinner! Probably because I wasn't trying to soothe my misery with fatty and sugary food. I even danced around to music while I cooked. My mind is clear, I'm super relaxed, and pretty grateful I escaped that prison of desolation.
 
My bad day continues, arfryer has decided that it doesn't need air, the fan section not working

Good day so far! Laundry on, dishwasher on, garden watered, piano played and we're all well fed and resting on the couch. Great way to be in the mid morning of the day 😁 bunnies had some freedom, even Xander explored the hallway today. Makes me happy to see him happy. Harmony is watching the tv, its sooo cute. She has such a fugly little face. Lilah is on my lap.

Gona go walkies later, after I hear the old men on their gophers go past.

Visited my mother again, and she was fast asleep. When I held her hand, she opened her eyes and squeezed my hand. The staff told me that she's been eating, which is so good! Of course, they have to feed her...but she's actually eating her meals now! Thank God.

I am SO grateful that my truck behaved today. ❤️
 
I really like this winter walkies rhythm we've fallen into. Lilah goes before lunch and Harmony goes at sunset. Not possible in summer!

The shire men were burning off parts of the park earlier today. Lilah was so good, very curious about the flames but didnt bark at the shire men at all which was good of her. It wasnt a long walk today but she was tired out with all that new stuff to see.

Its such a beautiful night. I was surprised how busy town is. The new cafe/store was packed, I wonder if the new owners are happy with it, they seem to draw the tattooed crowd. Even the pub had a few cars out the front. Harmony tried to drag me over there, she could smell the food. I duno what I am going to have for dinner yet, but I have a full fridge which is just lovely! Its a good day 🙂
 
I’m at my aunt’s house and wanted to make a cup a tea, she hates tea and never drinks it… took out a cup and well, there is an entire spiderweb inside + a large dead spider….

Fancy a cuppa, @nightshade ?

Hard to believe, but I actually went shopping for healthy foods today. Doesn't mean I'll eat them, though. But I made the effort! 😅

I went to the carwash because ANOTHER bird crapped all over my windshield. It was one of those damn crows, they're all over the place. No matter where I park, they find my truck. I'm going to trap those winged bastards and TORTURE them one day. A partial quote from Illyria definitely describes my feelings: "I will shred my adversaries; pull their eyes out just enough to turn them toward their mewling, mutilated faces."

My mother is doing SO well! She looks healthy and happy where she is. The staff is so caring and patient. Yesterday I watched one of them feed her, despite the fact my mother was being "difficult." Oh, and I've finally accepted that sometimes she won't know who I am...but that's just how it is. I don't cry anymore, which is great. She's my mother, the first face I ever saw upon my entry into this crazy world. And I love her more than anything. ❤️
 
Today has been a bit up and down. I went food shopping in the actual shop, which is a bit of a novelty now 😅 after blood tests this morning. I used to get blood tests every two weeks back in the hospital days but today really knocked me about. I slept all afternoon. Its an emotional reaction rather than anything physical, I dont really want to be falling back into all these appointments. I have to do an MRI on Tuesday which is super fast considering its the public health system (free one!!!). Ultrasounds are further away with instructions to go to the ED if I have blood clot symptoms (i dont). I am a bit overwhelmed by this all and worried I shouldn't have tried again.

Tonight I have had good tv and chicken sandwiches, so feeling much better and quite content with the fire going and fluffy animals to cuddle. Tomorrow the only aim is some nice long walks with the puppies.

Today, I noticed one of my neighbours pulling into the driveway. (She's the one I gave that prank spider gift to) Anyway, after she parked, I decided to creep over to her window. She was on her phone and didn't see me...so I waved my arms and let out a hellish roar. 😈 She dropped her phone, looked at me, laughed, and said, "You are such a child." Mind you, I adore this lady. She and her family have been simply amazing to me.

But sometimes, the urge to prank people is too much to resist. And if doing this is wrong, I don't want to be right. 🥳

The other night I was thinking it was so sweet to see all the town kids playing so well together unsupervised at the park after dark. Tonight they are pelting rocks at my house and I'm like "Grrr where are the parents!!??!!" Little shits.


Trying to make a list of stuff I need to get when I am down in the city this week. Might try to find a soccor ball for Lilah, she just loves herding things. Must remember to put the esky in the car too!
 
Remember that woman I pranked with the fake spider? Well, her husband was backing his car out while I was emptying the trash 30 minutes ago...he called my name and said, "Hey, could you stand behind my car for a second? I need to test my brakes." 😅😅

In other news, I might be dropping off my truck at the mechanic again. Driving a big Chevy with a slipping transmission is nerve-wracking...and a bit dangerous. It won't accelerate on hills, even small ones. I'll give it gas, the engine revs, but it won't go faster than 20mph. And sometimes it won't accelerate after idling at a red light. We'll see what happens.

That's why people get pissed at telemarketers. I know the whole don't take no and what not but, take a no!
 
I decided to drop the truck off, and I did it in record time. I know the owner of the auto place sees dollar signs whenever he sees my truck, but whatever. It needs to be checked out. One good thing is they give you a ride home. 😁
