How was your day - Part 4

Long.

Being on welfare, I go to this 'project' twice a week just so I get out of the house once in a while. I spent three hours there today, then walked into the city to drop off some papers, only to arrive and find out that the damn office was closed [🙁] and then headed to my mom's place to chill on the couch and wait for the 'rents to get off work.

After dinner we went over to my aunt and uncle's to set up something called an 'æresport' which, I have no clue if this exists in other countries. The basics are; my aunt an uncle are celebrating 25 years of marriage and we go out to set up this thing:
IMG_1762.JPG

And then the next morning they walk through it (they aren't allowed to do that before morning) and guests show up to take pictures and stuff. I have no idea where the tradition stems from, just that it's been a part of Denmark for as long as I can remember 🙂

So now I'm exhausted and my body aches...can't wait for bed!

That looks so pretty @Puppet ! For us if you reach 25 years of marriage, the tradition is Silver gifts. But that is not an aussie tradition, just one people brought here with them. Nowadays here most marriages dont last 25 years haha.

I dont have work today but do have the spewy feelings and cysty pain so I havent got dressed yet. Clothes hurt on days like these, but in saying that I have only just sat down for the first time today. I have got 3 loads of washing done and hung, the vacuuming (cant even tell I have done that 2 days in a row! Still cleaning up from the storms), checked the garden barefoot for frost haha, took out half the bins, the chooks are fed and the rabbits are happy. I dragged the big rug into the lounge room in the hope to keep it warm for them. The morning sun hits it just right and They love having grip instead of the wood floors. They have tired themselves out with zoomies. Now they are passed out under the couch with grass bellies.

I am planning to go for a big walk this afternoon cos I was too lazy to get up and go with the neighbour this morning (which is probably why I am a bit distressed, laziness really makes me feel like crap, I am mad at myself for going back to sleep til 8.30am). I will have to put clothes on for that though ;p I am debating right now if I walk to town and grab a bite to eat - its one of those days I wont feed myself because of the nausea, yet will still eat a chicken and salad roll if it was in front of me. The site here seems to run ok at this time of day - so bizarre but I am sure I will figure out a pattern soon.

Hope you are all having an enjoyable week 🙂

Yesterday was a nothing day, but I've been craving one of those for a while, I took a shower and made some popcorn and that was about it, of course now I'm behind on all the household things but that'll get done after work tonight if need be.

Its flipping magical here today! Thuderstorms and lightning, not very frightening but fun to watch! When I sit on my couch, all I can see are the tops of trees and the sky. Its wonderful!

Work was cancelled (obviously) and I had not intended to go online, but I was writing and habit took over....

This weather is so great, its like an invite to breathe ouuuut. I let the rabbits free for the morning, which is a treat for them. Combined with the weather, I have some brilliant entertainment. I have attempted to start the fire with toilet rolls and tissues. I had the heater on this morning so its not freezing, and I am still wearing PJs (not pants tho, who do you expect is posting here?) but its still weird to live in a cold place and even though we have had rain, it feels extra soothing. The sky is a light mauve colour and I hope I paint it before my eyesight fails too much. Although I have always been a fan of impressionism.

I have a lamb shoulder defrosting, enough veggies to make enough meals for the entire weekend, including neighbours. The full moon is done and the there is a cleansing energy in the air. Usually when I am this serene I would not be on the internet haha.

I came home to find my dad watching 'The Railway Children' (1970s). He's so cute, brightened up my day 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Went to the store to buy salad stuff. I've been hooked on salad...and spaghetti. More lettuce, cherry tomatoes, garlic croutons, more cheese, eggs for boiling, and some packaged bacon. Yes, totally hooked. But I DID buy fried chicken from the service deli. 😃 I like chicken.

Funny thing happened on the way. I noticed this girl sitting on the sidewalk near the the gas station. She kept staring at me as I smoked, so I offered her a cigarette. Next thing I know, this short guy in a dirty jacket is yelling at me, "We don't need anything from you! Go find yourself a man!" 😂😂😂 WTF! Dude was like 5' 6" and had a caveman face. Maybe he was her pimp. Either way, I burst out laughing. I'mean looking down at this dwarf-like creature who was just sooo annoyed. It's still funny. Weirdo.

weird. Hooked on salad sounds like some kinda food service thing lol
Its a beautiful frosty day here. I checked my seedlings and most are still green in the sunlight. I guess that means they survived the first frost? I have lots I can do in the garden today. I have a whole heap of books I better read before they are due back and a kitchen to clean. I might try start the fire again later on, it went out in the cold overnight, but was lovely until then.

I think that small business workshop thing really messed with me this week. For starters, it was 4 hours straight of SITTING DOWN! Anyone with back degeneration like me is going to have issue with that. The entire reason I wanted to start a small business is so that I do not have to conform to the normal sit on your arse and look pretty rules of office work. They gave us a work book which I finished within the first 4 minutes, only to discover that the speaker was going to take 4 hours to go through the workbook... the work book had ALL of what she said in it and she really didnt need to (or need to be paid for) reading it aloud to the group, and it definitely did not need to take four hours. On the way home I thought I would go check out the CRC in my own shire - but discovered that it was a lot longer drive than I expected and I had to pike out cos I was starting to get real sick from sitting in the car. Since then I have been a cranky pants.

I haven't really got any produce to pass out this weekend. Apart from limes, but the shop said they would send people my way if they were asking after limes. I've already given bucketfuls away, and I guess that is another reason I was upset by the small business thing - it was basically saying "rip off your customers for profit so you can pay a higher rate of tax" my customers are mostly people living on an aged pension - below the poverty line and I am NOT going to rip them off. I only need a small income to cover my own living costs and I am all on top of it now with part time city work. I guess I do wind myself up because the shire had grant funding that I could have applied for in order to make the business not-for profit, but instead they denied they had grants available and inferred they do not want to attract aboriginal/poor people to the area by providing affordable fresh food.

I have an event thingo to go to on sunday where I can give out more limes haha I am looking forward to that so do not want to over-do it today. Some days its hard to know how to under-do it without staying in the lounge room all day. I've already done my dancercise and the rabbits were quite unimpressed with my music choices. They think they deserve freedom if I am indoors, but I am not keen to chase them out from under the couch or behind the fire if I do decide to go on a trek.

I can just picture rabbits watching you dance...y'know, and holding up score cards like the Olympics. 🐰🐇
This is a bit of a woe-is-me rant. I just really need to get it out somewhere.

Had a terrible first day back at work. Apart from 3-4 shifts over Christmas, I haven't been at my airport gig in like 10 months. The weather today was terrible. Insane rain and heavy coastal winds. I spent a lot of time out on the tarmac getting drenched, hardly being able to face against the wind. When I got back inside, my shoes were making squeaky sex noises.

It got worse later. They have installed some new computer programme on our aircrafts, which lead to four planes needing diagnosed by a mechanic. These are regional planes, so they fly back and forth, meaning that almost all our flights were cancelled. Nobody bothered to warn us about this. We just noticed that more and more flights were cancelled. I ended up filling an empty position, which required move people to new flights tomorrow and to book people into the different hotels around the city and booking taxis to transport them.

Now I am good at my job. I can write reports for missing bagge quicker than any mother cuddler, I can make a charter-queue vanish faster than anyone, and I can carry a disabled person safely to and from their seat on the plane. The thing I was doing today isn't something I normally help with, and I was rusty anyway from being away so long. To make a long story short, I worked slowly and I made a mess of things. Nobody could have done great under the conditions I had today - the queue was endless - but many could have done better. I spent four hours in the same seat, helping and reassuring passengers, calling hotels, writing lists, booking, reebooking, clocking two hours over-time and couldn't go home until after midnight.

It is not fun sucking at your job in front of an endless mass of people, some of who may be from the region, some may be from the city, some may know you ... it is a moderately small place. I feel completely crushed. I just hope I won't meet anyone from tonight, when I get back to work tomorrow and get yelled at all over again.

I am just grateful my colleges are saints and super supportive. Next time you fly and things go tits up all over, be nice to the staff.

Today's my brother's birthday, so I brought him some brownies I baked. Then I went over to Ralphs for a small birthday cake...and damn it, I burned my thumb lighting the candles. Of course, my brother thought that was hilarious (my family has a twisted sense of humour) and seriously enjoyed my discomfort. The rule in our family is: if something embarrassing and/or uncomfortable happens to you, we check to make sure you didn't die, THEN we laugh our butts off. We are some sick puppies, yes. Oh! And he surprised me with a gift of three collectable Barbies!!! And its not even MY birthday. Awww. *sniffles* That was so sweet!!! I love Barbies. ❤

AND OH MY GOD...there was an "altercation" inside Dollar Tree. Basically, a new manager (who had a major attitude problem) got stomped by three customers. In a nutshell, this Mexican girl always treated the black customers like crap...so that rather set the stage for what came next: These three black girls were exiting the store, one of them carrying a baby. The "manager" believed that they, stole something so she ran after them trying to grab one of their bags. (Stupid cow!) Unfortunately, she knocked the baby to the floor. (Oh shit!!!) Those girls beat her ass. She tried running to the back room, but the door was locked. One of her coworkers tried to help, but received a broken nose. And what was even more ill-advised was the guy who checks bags at the door made a racial slur about the three girls...then also tried to stop them. HE got his ass beat too. 😂 This had to be one of the most amusing things I'd seen in awhile! Some people just need an ass whipping. *shrugs* 😈

Car show season is upon us and with regular Wednesday and Saturday shows you would think I would have had my fill. But there was one today that was going to have a special guest: Dave Grainger, owner of The Guild of Automotive Restorers and star of Restoration Garage, a show about how he takes old cars in various states of functionality and beauty and restores them to top form. Some of his cars have sold for millions of dollars. He had a rat rod there that required a separate battery and a spray can of ether to start and one it got going, the driver (one of his employees) honked the horn and the car promptly stalled.

The T-shirt I was wearing got a lot of favourable attention too because it says:

CORVETTE

BECAUSE NOBODY WRITES
SONGS ABOUT VOLVOS

Several people asked me if anyone writes songs about Volvos but I said I didn't know because I don't speak Swedish. How about it @Taake are there any songs about Volvos that you know of?

haha, sorry, I only know songs about motorcycles. Good thing sk is here to save the day for Volvo!
weird cause i still can't seem to get enough of sleep after week end. can't remember how i got to work or what i was even doing there. I just remember waking up , leaving the house...and then I'm home. I feel like I lost a whole day and will never get it back. Tricks our brain plays on us, huh. Does it happen to anyone else?

Are you suffering (or benefitting) from MPD/DID (Multiple Personality Disorder / Dissociative Identity Disorder)? Do you lose large chunks of time during the day? Is this something that has gone on for a lot of your life? It's more common than people think.

Sounds like me...

wow it's better not to think about that
@badsister and @Amber Bunny Slippers get yourselves a body camera or Go Pro and see what happens during the missing blocks of time. You don't have to point it at yourself, you just have to see where you are. If you don't remember going to work but see yourself driving a car or you see customers but don't remember being there, somebody was and she was using your body.

Are you referring to the "walk-in" phenomena?
Was rather productive today! Finished shopping for one of my bestie's birthday. Made my own basket (thanks World Market). Also got some 'birthday' cupcakes (also bought some for me & the 'rents) at this neat little bakery that only makes cupcakes! 🙂

Send me cupcakes!!! 😈
@Amber Bunny Slippers I was referring to "The Three Faces of Eve" phenomenon where the prime personality does not know what is going on during these lost blocks of time but the other personalities are aware of what you do plus what they do plus other personalities unless they retreat and stick to themselves.

To be perfectly honest, I definitely feel as though I have another personality. Definitely. Then again, I'm also bipolar. Who knows? Maybe a lot of people experience the same thing. Doctor Jekyll/Mr Hyde, etc. Hmmm.

I defo experience that, once a month like bloody clockwork. Most women I know do 😛 I dont consider it bipolar cos I can track it, but thats what the men of psychiatry want us to believe. They sell more drugs if they call it bipolar! When I confronted them and asked about endo, I was then diagnosed with PMDD and given more brain killing drugs. Being a woman in tune with her body is now a disorder characterised in their almighty DSM. What a world.

Speaking of, I left a bunch of mental health forums this week. Its boring when all they believe is the chemical imbalance theory and wont even consider other pathways to heallth. I felt like when i was on the drugs ALL i was doing was trying to escape the side effects, now they are gone I cant believe how different life is. It makes me too sad to see the same people suffer and get fatter, for years now. I thought my end results might speak for themselves, but seems they just remember me at my peak of cray cray - during withdrawal. Do i really have to do the selfie thing to prove the life back in my eyes?

Work tomorrow for me YAY! Then I actually have weekend plans that dont revolve around booze woooo!

People keep telling me this week that I think too much. My ex used to say that to me too - but one of us had to think!
