I went for an Italian last night to celebrate the partner's birthday, and got lasagna because I couldn't decide on anything else. It was so good though. Ended up eating the whole lot (which is not like me) and I'm still full this morning.
My real achievement of the day was beating the first boss in Bloodborne LOL. I've never played any of the Dark Souls games so it was a steep learning curve. I get why people love those games. The satisfaction when you finally beat the giant beasts!

Still trying to recover from holidays, sleepless nights and waking up in someone's apartment not having a clue where the hell i am and who are these people. I'm not a party hard person for sure. I just can't get enough of sleep. 6 hours is not enough. So the work was slow and I just want it to be final exams already so I can pass or not pass and forget everything

I went shopping for another summer dress (!) because it's been so warm recently. I couldn't find one with inverted crosses or pentagrams 😛 so I got one with butterflies and flowers on it. I couldn't resist, it's SO pretty! I'm sure @HowiMetdaSlayer will have something to say about that. 😂 But that's cool....this dress is AWESOME! I feel like a forest nymph in it.

Oh, I decided to stay home throughout the weekend, despite the annual yard sale/kiddie party. Upon reflection, I realised it's better than using a rehab as a free hotel; people coming off drugs, all cooped up together ISN'T fun. The majority of them don't bathe/shower because they're too weak and sick for the first 3-4 days. I don't mean to toot my own horn (yes I do!), but no matter HOW sick I was during past visits, personal hygiene was a priority. I always packed my own soap, body wasb, lotion, and shampoo. Yes, it's sheer torture to drag oneself to the shower when you're body is wracked with pain, but I'm OBSESSIVE about personal hygiene. Also, you're "encouraged" to socialise with other inmates patients. Uh, no thanks.

Anyway, the temporary intake guy (who was SUPER friendly on the phone when I called initially) was totally different when we spoke yesterday. Definitely NOT friendly this time! I'm guessing he'd had the chance to review my patient records, which MIGHT have said that I could be uncooperative, disruptive, and confrontational. I know you guys will find that incredibly difficult to believe. My extreme politeness and unwillingness to say exactly what's on my mind is well-known on this site...right? 😂

Yep youre right about the showering, the smelliest are closest to death. Glaf you are home and the dress sounds amazing!

I let myself spiral a bit yesterday, then got fanta that I knew I would react to cos I was just tired, but feel tons better today. A sleep in, lots of bunny cuddles, nice breaky and time.in the garden. Its too cold to be out too much and its nice for the pace to have dropped back with the rain doing the watering.

Been watching sense8 and as much as I like the idea, they would fit a whole lot more story in if it wasnt for the orgies and lingering lip kisses. Its interesting that much of the dialogue can be used to address levels of anything. Its clever but so millenial.

So, I made sure to NOT be home during the yard sale. I got up at 6am, showered, and dressed...it was dead quiet outside until this Mexican family arrived at 7am to set up their wares. (Like many people who were selling stuff, they did NOT live here) As I was putting on my shoes, suddenly I heard what sounded like a bugle. At 7:30am! I was like, "Are you f---ing KIDDING me?!" I looked out the window and saw what appeared to be the father of that Mexican family...and yes, he was actually blowing a bugle. AT 7:30 IN THE MORNING. I went outside and told him to knock it off. He pretended to not understand what I was saying; but he sure understood me when I said I'd call ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) if he blew that damn bugle again! 😂

Anyway, I hung out at the Santa Monica mall for a few hours, then rode the bus out to Malibu. It was super awesome! Had lots of fun. 😊
When I got back, the yard sale was winding down. Most of the people were leaving. Yay! Unfortunately, the kiddie party in the back was just starting...and this time, there were MORE people than last year. And more little kids as well. Picture a huge group of hipster parents and their progeny; like, 30 adults (!) maybe 20-30 screaming kids. 😒 There was one or two guys wearing man buns. *shivers* Hipster hell! I let them all do their thing for about an hour; then I turned on the music. 😈 Last year I didn't, but this year I DID. And God, it was just too funny.

I feel personally slighted by Ikea, I was going to get some blue bookcases from them and.... now they've been removed from stock. Apparently they were a "temporary" design and apparently I can't read because I didn't see that, so I missed out on buying them! Booo hiss! Shame on you Ikea, this is clearly all your fault.

NE Ohio is a hotspot. But so is West Virginia and you don't really think about it there. It's a nationwide problem, not just the border states.

As much as I agree with rounding up illegals, I must admit that it's becoming a bit Gestapo-ish. Going into people's homes and dragging them away in the dead of the night just ISN'T American. And it's scary. Recently they grabbed a guy who WAS here legally, but had a criminal record; Thats NOT cool...I mean, WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING? And where does it stop?

Had a short half day at work. However, it wasn't without a bit of adventure. In the last hour, a button popped/broke off the computer. Tried to super glue it back on. Was a hole I didn't see in the side of the bottle. Managed to get thumb stuck to the bottle. 😳 For a while I actually thought that I might have to go to hospital to get the darned thing off! 😱 Took 15 minutes with soap and water to get the thing to budge. Finally it relented. Still got some residual glue on a few fingers. The errant keyboard button's still defiantly unattached. 🙄 My co-workers were making jokes. I got in on it too. Was kind of short staffed, so I told co-worker to grab something from the back since I was stuck up front. 😀 By all means enjoy yerselves... 😕

I had a short day at work today too @HowiMetdaSlayer but not as exciting as glue. Now I am home wondering what to do next haha. It was raining on the coast so I stopped in a service town for pet food. Never again. I like to support (semi) local business, but not local business that makes me do the work while they gossip at the counter. I put my back out lifting chook pellets. Country town people dont go to work to actually work, they go to socialise.

I thought I would play some music when I got in, but it is so quiet and peaceful, i dont want to wreak it with my keyboard skills.

Feels like a night for celebrating, my good mate got some good news and times like these I wish I could get plastered for fun. Still considering going to the pub, but its hard to knock back free drinks and accepting them never ends well.

Need a tardis so I can zoom over to an amsterdam cafe for my fun. There are too many pommies at my pub who dont appreciate nature. One of them is after a new woman and I am SO happy for the old one that got free after talking to him. What a dickhead. He keeps turning up at the pub when I am there, but I spose theres no where else to go!

Extremely annoying. Got up early today, even though I start work at 12, as there was a plumber coming to fix the bath. He calls me 45 minutes after he was supposed to be here to say he'd be a half hour and was running late. Fine, half an hour, I can wait. 2 and a half hours later, nothing. Tried phoning him, nothing. So I'm gonna be 2 hours late for work for no reason and I don't know why he didn't show up.

I Cant sleep. My muscles keep doing their little spastic dances. Pub probably didnt help matters. The number of takeaway cartons that walk out of that place is unreal for such a tiny town. Maybe they make the most of the quiet by sleeping in it.

I have 700km of fuel in the tank. Thinkin of roadtrippin, especially if my body refuses to do fencing tomorrow.

Well I eventually got my blocked bath fixed and now I'm off to enjoy a glorious shower with a working drain again. Bliss!
