I brought new textas from the post office today. The lady there said they wouldn't run out fast if I used them on glass, foil or metal. They haven't been near paper and some colours have already run out 😡

@nightshade ran out. Dipping in water did nothing for the last lot nor this one. They are bic permanent markers, I wont get them again. Maybe its why they were cheap. The postie lady said they were sucked dry last time cos I used them on paper, but this time I didn't use them on paper and they still ran out on the same day.
 
This Chevy needs some work! The brakes went out on me yesterday, and with a big car like that, it was a NIGHTMARE. Imagine trying to stop and when you hit the brakes, the pedal goes to the floor...but the car doesn't slow down. I would've FREAKED if this hadn't happened to me in the past. I shifted to neutral, kept pumping the brakes, and prayed there was no traffic up ahead. Eventually I slowed down, but in LA that's not good enough! If I had been in heavy traffic, things would've been really horrifying. I was so lucky!

Horrible day...

Woke up just before my dentist appointment, so I didn't get anything to eat. Then, at the dentist, I was brutalized until my jaw was bruised and swollen, while they took out a tooth in the most painful way possible. Which meant I couldn't eat anything until the anesthesia wore off, and even then it had to be cold, soft foods, so the pizza in my fridge that I had been looking forward to was out. Now the right side of my face is swollen, my head hurts and I'm starving... 🙁

I brought different new textas. I wasn't going to but they had free colouring pages at the shop and pencils are annoying.
 
My mum and I had a long talk this morning, about the relatively recent trend of "guilty until proven innocent." She rang me up before she went to work, because she was watching a story on the news about Bill Cosby being in jail. She is LIVID. I can't reprint the exact language she used, so I'll clean it up. Basically, "That poor old man!! Those &#$@* knew what they were getting into. He didn't put quaaludes in their drinks because the bloody things don't dissolve in liquid!"

Here we go again, 'she asked to be raped because she wore a knee length skirt that was a bright colour,' oh and Quaaludes did dissolve in booze 20 years ago.
I had study this morning then did some cooking. I had a heap of silver beet from the guy across the road, and a dozen eggs from my chickens. So I made a silver beet and bacon quiche, then delivered my cooking back to guy across the road - who gifted me double the silver beet he gave me the first time AND a handful of fresh board beans. I went up the road to another guy who I know has been very unwell with shingles to give him some quiche too and sat in his very warm house for a while. I don't think he welcomes much company but we had a nice chat until the rain broke and I ducked home in between ice showers. My heater has nothing on his fireplace! Now I have another big load of silver beet to cook into things and a whole lot of kitchen cleaning to do. Luckily the freezer defrosted even in this cold so I can freeze my cooking again without having to offload it to unsuspecting neighbours 😛


Its a perfect day for cooking, too bloody cold in the garden. I was rather impressed with my little quiche pie thing. I would like to have a bit on hand in the freezer for the lazy days. I might have run out of bacon though 🙁

The owners' association where I live distributed a pet survey recently. The results were published today, to my amusement. First of all, there's too many damn dogs here. These are condos, not mansions, and nobody should have three dogs. But some people do. Plus, the dog owners are upset that they have to use leashes; they think cats are being given special treatment. So they're insisting that cats should also be required to wear a leash in public. 😂 I'm totally serious. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that one. Also in our monthly newsletter: there's increasing complaints about people having huge parties outside in the common areas. (Ah ha! I knew I wasn't the only one who had a problem with this!!) New rule...outside gatherings of 30 or more people (including children) require prior board authorisation. Of course, there were immediate complaints about that. "But we moved here so our children could play amongst the trees!" or, "Families shouldn't be penalised. Children naturally make noise." Not if you duct tape their mouths. 😉

can any of the dogs speak out there.
For ages the dogs here have been asking for the dumb humans to look after them better. The dogs over here started to say about the tape years ago, the cats had a laugh at the thought of children having duct tape stuck to the roof of there mouths before the duct tape was applied to the outside.
 
Lots of coffee with friends just chatting about funeral music and what we would have!! Evilly of course!!

Last day of the weekly Saturday car shows (the Wednesday car shows also ended on Wednesday three days ago). Canadian Thanksgiving is on Monday and the shows do not return until after Victoria day (24 May) so we have another five and a half months before things start up again. But that will free up time for other things.

Today has been an odd day. Feeling tired and rough from high anxiety and no sleep. I was up at 3am panicking someone was guna break into my home. So much that I was at the window with a powerful torch looking for anyone outside as noise woke me up. Thats the downside of being bipolar I guess (this may be a surprise to some but some know already and I'm not using the bipolar as a flippant word). So today I've felt exhausted and sick. But, you gotta keep going, right?

Today I have been thankful for BB (again) for entertaining me and stopping more anxiety.

Now I'm finally cooking dinner... rough veggie mash and pie for me... then... (hopefully) sleep!

Now I remember why I dont have such full great weekends every weekend - the monday migraine 🙁

Not a drop of alcohol involved, but I might have overdone the weeding and tai chi. I was in the garden cos it was warm. Cant get enough of the wildflowers on my bushwalks either 🙂

Gotta get up and let the chooks out, then back to bed for me!
