How was your day? - Part 5

My parents copped the lot when that last doctors med cocktail went bad on me. So pleased to be free!

Today started great, a mango and vegemite toast for breaky on the porch in the sun. I spent A bit of time on the garden but the rain was intermittent so, some time on an art project. I trimmed and cut the natives, and now have a pretty little wildflower display on my kitchen counter.

I went bushwalking in the arvo rain, bumped into a lady walking her dog (usually I never see another soul) she yelled out my name - apparently my rep (and hat) preceeds me haha.

She intoduced her big pupper dog and told me her hubby died 7 months back. Now she is struggling alone and hates cooking. She knows where I live so I told her to drop by and I'll cook some quiche. I was going to hold out until wednesday to buy bacon but if the neighbours silverbeet is ready tomorrow I'll get some in town. I will be glad to have another person to offload my cooking to 😀

Seems everyone is coming out of the woodwork now that spring is here. I think I will sleep well tonight!

Nix,
one of the things you could do is change the name of the lead character of your book to avoid you suing you. One of the problems of writing a book is to get permission from people to use their name.
When writing a book you may choose to use a different name for each type of book (subject).

Ok so you can be erm Jeffery! SOrry, am I not supposed to tell people their names? 😉

On another note today is dealing with cleaning the dungeon... *note to self* Get some minions!

How could you possibly consider me a Jeffery?
I prefer the name Geoffrey it looks and sounds much better.
A tip though when looking for ' minions ' to help do up the dungeon, tell the grunts sorry minions that you are looking for ' prospective ' friends to help prepare the cellar to be a suitable place for festivities, halloween, Christmas, easter. Also tell them that the new entry/ exit is not called the coal shute anymore.

I suggest you stop referring to the upcoming holiday as Halloween and refer to it by the name of the Celtic belief where the dead rise for the whole of the winter solstice - you can scare the crap out of the neighbours for much longer.

Today has been quite lovely. I've walked in and out of town about 4 times now, trying to source as much as I can here to avoid doing a city trip. Seems I am actually pretty set for the moment 😀 just gotta go in one more time for toothpaste that I forgot I needed. Beautiful day for short walks, the birds provide a marvelous soundtrack.

I have a moon migraine coming on, so I've dropped back on the garden gruntwork today. Spent a bit of time balancing the rake on my pinkie finger, placed out some trot poles for my own exercise and did half a bucket of weeding.

I got a parcel from the post office today 😀 the post man is such a prick. I love stirring him up. He has no respect for anyone who chooses not to chase money for a living. I put a spanner in his works with my poncho and carefree attitude while paying bills. I am doubtful he would answer if I was to ask him such probing questions about his income! That is certainly one of those alpha male things. I love messing with that type lol.

Horrible. Just horrible.

I was a good 45 minutes into my next Halloween watch, taking down notes, just chilling...and then my INTERNET GOES AWAY. No explanation, no nothing. And, of course, it's nearly 3 in the morning (I'm staying up to get my days turned right around again) and so I can't call my service provider or go to my mom's to borrow her computer to go on my service provider's webpage, not until 7. So what am I supposed to do without internet? I literally have no life without it! Thankfully I remembered the PDF files of old fanfic I had lying around on a USB in my apartment. At least I managed to pass the time.

I went to my mom's at 7, borrowed my step-dad's laptop and then...COULDN'T LOG INTO MY ACCOUNT. Are you serious? Grr...

So now I had to wait until 9 when the phone lines opened to call them about my problem, and I couldn't help them by being logged into my account, because that was part of the problem. Suffice it to say I was already pretty annoyed and steamed by the time me and the guy on the other line figured out the problem...

The cord attached to my router had FALLEN HALFWAY OUT OF ITS SOCKET. It was literally something I could've fixed at a little to 3 when I first lost the connection.

GOD DAMMIT!!!

Summer is truly in the rear-view mirror. The pool closed yesterday and Toby is asking why:

and the leaves were picked up today:

Aww Toby I wana snuggle your face and take you to the beach!! Love the leaf picker upper-er. My yard is a little over grown but dying off so quickly with the sun and dry. I rake up the dry bits and have free hay 😀 the shade has returned from the trees now.

@Amber Bunny Slippers I want to write a book one day but I need my parents to all pass away first! Sounds harsh but my book would break them!

It doesn't sound harsh at all. In fact, it's hilarious. Possibly one of the reasons I've procrastinated so much with writing mine is that family often asks about my progress; and want a peek at what I've written. If my mum ever saw how truthful I've been about my childhood, she'd get very dramatic. Then the guilt trips would begin. "I did the best that I could after your father left..." Blah blah blah. Save the saintly stories for church, mum. I'm your eldest child and I was there, remember?

My god, but we'd go grey much later in life if we didn't have to hide so many childhood truths from our families.

My boy bunny has been obsessed with licking the tip of my nose. I think it might be skin cancer. 3 times this week the spots have bled after time in the garden. My mum has skin cancer in the same spot. I hate docs but might have to listen to them on this one. I am not really sure what else to try. Aloe hasnt worked (but does on my eyelid). Other cancers, I would just let take their course, but I have seen how skin cancer eats your face long before it kills ya.

So, trying to stay out of the high uv times. Im loving my sleep pattern right now. Up at dawn, early long lunch, arvo meditation and out in the garden again at dusk. I have settled into the summer routine much better than the winter one!

My dear HoppyHippy,
I'm not sure how to tell you this, but do you remember that bit a Vegemite, well it wasn't vegemite. That dark spot on the bunny's tongue was from where it had been licking it's girlfriends bum. So that licking on your nose that left a spot, guess what it was!

But what comes from the bunnies bum is nutritious and delicious 😉 bunny bum vitamins on my nose should only heal it 😛

Actually, I have heard of people healing horses sarcoids with vegemite. Maybe I should give it a go.

bunny bum vitamins on your nose should only heal it, ONLY, why what else do you think it'd do.
Guess what word the word doo rhymes with!

Was crazy busy at work this weekend. Plus stayed over cause someone called of on Saturday. So worked 9-8p! Then went out with my GF after. Then worked 10-5 today. So she thought it would be great to hit the gym before work. Am tired! However, did impress the new gf. So mostly worth it. 🙂

Wait...girlfriend? Do tell. 😇
I didn't do anything today. It was awesome. When I woke up this morning it was foggy and cool outside, which I LOVE. So I took a long, hot shower, and put my nightgown back on. Ate some blueberry pancakes with butter and maple syrup. Currently cuddled up with a light blanket, watching tv. I didn't have to see or talk to any people all day and I'm sooooo happy. Left the phone on Do Not Disturb. It's just me, the tv, and snacks. My kind of day.

Kindred soul except for the three-mile walk for the dog in the morning and the one mile walk for the dog at night. And I always get dressed as soon as I get up.

Anyway...

I go to this 'project' twice a week, 3 hours on Monday, 2 hours on Thursday - a product of my being on welfare - but I've been gone for a few weeks due to illness. I also have severe money problems, discovering on the 16th of this month that I was out of money. I had to dig into my savings and grab 1000 Danish crowns - you figure out how much that is in your country - and had to make that last from the 16th to, well, on Wednesday when I get paid again. If you're too lazy to do the math, just know that that is NOT a lot of money, at all. So that's been stressing me out lately.

So today I went to the project - having just enough left on my bus card to get there and knowing I'd have to walk home - and it started off as any Monday; crappy. It was freezing outside, like below freezing, and I was not dressed for it; I hadn't even brought gloves with me. I was shaking during the 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the second-hand store where my project is at. Now, what we're doing at the project atm is taking apart these little machines that measure electricity, this is very miniature work. We have to take them apart, piece by piece, using, like, five different types of tools. Ten minutes into it, I had a bruise on my finger and two busted nails. I really hate Mondays at the project.

After the 3 hours, I had to brave the cold again and walk home - I was out of money on my bus card and, as mentioned before, couldn't afford to fill it up - this is not a short trip, FYI. Anyway, I'll get to that. I headed to the nearby grocery store called Lidl, my favorite one - super cheap and great quality food - and then headed home, timing it so I'll know when I have to leave home Thursday morning since I'm now starting to walk to and fro. Problem is, I was taking a new path and stressing out about how long it would take, how heavy my groceries were and how hungry I was.

It took me an hour to walk home.

So people like Amber can look back on my gif, please 😛

I can't wait for tomorrow, when I get to have a relaxed day at home 🙂
