So, I asked Juliet Landau about the pinned tweet on her profile...the one where she's still soliciting donations for that undead thing. You know, the thing that never happened, despite all the money she's accepted for it. Notice how she plugs her current "project" (which I never asked about) and then comes up with some lie about how the undead thing will now be a series. And they're "still working on it. " 😒 I haven't decided whether or not to keep questioning her about it. 😇

I started keto today. I gotta say, I'm already feeling it. I feel like I would do some morally questionable things for a croissant right now.

I finally have a bed! After 2 winters on the floor, this is cause for celebration. Just in time to settle the rumbles from the farms harvesters too 😀 I think I might take a nap after lunch.

There is a lovely bird visiting right now. I am sitting under my patio and this bird, that has been taught a tune is singing. Once the wind picks up, it will be off again. When the wind settles, the bugs all drop down, so do the birds. The sun is bitey but it is otherwise a beautiful day. The good weather days make up for any extremes (she says at the start of summer with a dodgy air con unit...)

I have some chicken, mayo and salad on tiger rolls for lunch. I want to eat so much it makes me pass out, otherwise I will end up sunburnt again.

I got sunburnt again 🙁 But then slept in! ON MY BED!!!!!!

Trying to take it easy today, which involves a lot of writing, drawing and time out on BB. I walked up to the library, but keep forgetting that the "opening hours" on the door are not factual, much like the rest of town, and it was shut. So I walked to the post office, picked up my mail and latest newsletter and read it at a picnic table under the flowering trees. (that gp was such a dickhead to suggest my migraines were caused by hay fever, I am the only person I know who isn't sick right now and DOESNT react to pollen and enjoys sitting among the blooming wildflowers while there is gluten in the air. She knocked off to have a child, so perhaps I will have better luck with the replacement).

The newsletter reads like a love note. Its good for notices, but the amount of devotions to specific social groups and situations is glaring and encouraging divide. The shire have so much wrong in its management of nature. It is no wonder every single summer is such a struggle for the environment - and getting dramatically dryer before my eyes. I am waiting for someone to complain about my yard. I had wild rabbits make a burrow a while back, so have started criss crossing sticks and trimmings in the affected bed to prevent the wild rabbits from being able to dig in. The other week I had a neighbour ask me to catch wild rabbits from her yard, assuming that all bunnies are the same. That was a wake up call to me in regards to attitudes towards the environment. I attended a lunch where locals bitched and moaned that the latest rabbit virus is not actually killing any wild rabbits (cost me $200 to vaccinate mine against). I didn't dare suggest that they make their yards rabbit proof rather than advocating for untested viruses that do not appear to be working (and once they do kick in the majority of the damage it wanted to prevent will have been done). I have had a few snide comments from passers by about the appearance. There was an elderly couple who bitched I did not have as many flowers as last year - the silly seniors did not realise they were away with their RV when the garden was in full spring bloom. They missed it. But because of the garden bed prep, assumed that I am just inadequate. This is where I start getting in to shit stirring mindset and want to put something obscene or ugly in my yard to give them something REAL to bitch about. The guy across the street is awesome though so I wouldn't do it to him.

I also had 3 or 4 comments now about using the hedge clippers in the garden saying "you need a man/machine/muscles for that [job]". I have replied that I cannot to my strengthening exercises if I was to use a man or machine for it. The purpose IS to build muscles but seems I should be socially ashamed for that. I am not. But, do need my own bitching outlet cos otherwise I will explode at the pub and start drawing on things with lipstick (again).

It's pouring rain here and I've put my jeans and shoes out to dry, luckily I go straight to Zumba after work so I'm in my leggings and socks until they dry off. I think it's going to be a long day.

The is deconstruction going on across the road. Asbestos in the air, dust flying all over my house from 8.30am to 5.30pm. I was stuck inside all day cos it was near impossible to breathe outside. I finally got to get out in to the garden at almost 6pm and everything is just covered in dust. My hedges look grey, seedlings are smothered. I spent as long as I could doing what I could before sunset and now I am so cranky cos Gardens are backbreaking work and far LESS rewarding than ponies.

I have so much to do! I am supposed to go out with friends tomorrow and on the weekend and I am an inch away from cancelling to catch up with the garden.

Watched Abbs school Merit award assembly today and she get her Bronze Award which is the first one, and came 2nd to top in her class on points. Unfortunately she missed her next award by 14 points but she done good. Just waiting for her to come home now.

It's been heavy rain all day here which is depressing and MaccyDs is closed for 2 months while they gut and re build it! So tonight will be a curry night.

I was sitting here reading interviews with Mick Fleetwood, and it made think about one of my rehab visits. Mick's ex-wife Sara was in there at the same time I was, and several people just hung on her every word. (This happens a lot in rehab, when celebrities or their relatives are also patients, many people totally fangirl over them) Anyway, I felt bad for her. All she could talk about was how Stevie was letting her stay at a cottage on her estate, wrote a song about her, took her shopping, etc etc. I felt bad because it was no secret that Mick had had a long-term affair with Stevie while he was still married to Sara. And this woman was sitting here talking about how wonderful Stevie was, and such a good friend. That's pretty sad.

No, she was giving an excuse as to why she took people's money for that undead thing....which never happened. And I'd wager there is no "unscripted feature film" in the works. She's conning fans, and sadly, many will believe her because she played Drusilla once upon a time.

Banging started before 8am today. I was already awake though cos the harvest trucks started lining up for grain and coffee at 6am. Its so quiet between machines, its really odd for my ears.

Im supposed to go out with friends today. I'd rather stay in bed, but the noise wont let that happen so I might as well go out. Considering hitting the coast after but its pretty far and I might be road tripping over the weekend so I duno if I'll have the energy.

New moon today. My horoscope has not been at all helpful. On monday it said to get socially involved and today its saying not to get socially dependent. Ugh. I think I need some bible time.

I was out with the dog today on the Wednesday walk (about three miles) and on the way through the park, I heard twigs snapping, just in time to see a coyote take down some small animal. Around here, most coyotes have mixed with local dogs and maybe wolves and do not look like purebred coyotes. But this one was grey, just like Wile E. Coyote himself and if he was the one we saw before, he was purebred. There was one I saw a few weeks ago that looked like he was part coyote, part yellow Labrador retriever. He was a handsome animal. In past years, there was one that looked like it was part wolf or husky but no one was worried about him because he had a broken right front paw. You don't let cats out at night around here. Small dogs are kept on leashes because if the coyotes don't get it, the beaver will. I took a drowned bunny out of our pool a couple of months ago and tossed it under a nearby tree. It was gone the next day. You don't go into the park at night. There are nowhere near as many squirrels around here as there used to be. We occasionally see badgers and I think a coyote would get a nasty surprise if he tried to take out one of them. Or any of the many skunks around here.

We have our share of poisonous plants in the park like Wild Parsnip which requires medical help if you touch it but I've got that beat - we have Belladonna (a. k. a. Deadly Nightshade) growing in our back yard.

Today I was woken by an earthquake. 5.0 at 5am. I thought it was an earthquake straight away, but got up to check it wasn't something on the road. It wasnt. Beautiful morning though! I decided to net the trees to save the fruit from the birds and water the garden. I thought I was outside for ages, but worried that I underwatered cos it has only been an hour and a half since the quake. Now I am having breaky with bunnies.

Latest reports say it was 5.4 and epicentre is exactly where I am visiting a friend later today! Apparently there were rumbles of around 3 all night and I am not surprised because I kept getting woken up and didnt know why! Sleeping on a bed makes the quakes more noticeable 😛

Any after shocks? Did you know it's not uncommon for there to be 200 a day but they are so small.
Official stuff has todays quake as 5.0 and 5.4 and based some 10kms below Kojonup.
Me, I thought the place had acquired a poltergeist, a fault of casually balanced washing up.

Yeah there were a number of tremors recorded on the map thing, epicentre between koji and lake muir. Perth only got the whitewash. There must be a recording station at lake muir cos that is usually where they are first recorded. I am driving through there this weekend. (Sorta wish I knew how to record my pretty drive!)

We have lots of little shakes down here. I remember the first time I felt one, I was about 15 and sleeping in the back of a horse truck. I was sharing the bed with a friend, and everytime she moved, the metal bays of the truck banged against each other. When the quake hit, I hit her, thinking she was the one shaking the truck! They always seem to hit in the early hours of the morning. Wonder why?
