How was your day today?

Was beautiful here yesterday with temps in the mid 60's F and sunny skies. Today, not so much, high's only in the 40's, dark, gray, and windy. Very chilly to out and about.

Yeah it's in a different thread (new years I think) I went ice skating new years day and fell and fractured my radius bone. So technically I've broken my arm but it's just the tip next to my wrist. So wrist is out of action for a few weeks
 
I should have turned the air con on earlier. I havent been feeling well at all today but I think it is just the heat. Xander was doing better but then had a poo explosion I had to clean up and Im not sure he is out of the woods yet, although he is looking much better today than yesterday so I am happy about that.
 
There was an earthquake today. 4.5 epicenter a fair way away (80 or so k's) I thought it was a big truck going past that shook the house and knocked open a few doors here, including the front door on a very hot day. But then I saw the news reports and the doors had happened at that time. Made sense.

Xander is feeling better tonight thank god. Ate his dinner, had cuddles, even a lame attempt to hump Anya. I am so relieved. I love my little man bun.

Well I hope it's not too painful and you mend quickly!
I did a lot of ice skating when I was younger and even took lessons for a while. During the months the rink (outside rink) was open I was there most every weekend. I didn't play basketball, baseball, or football (American football) cause I was too small and too uncoordinated so contact sports just wasn't my thing but ice skating fit me like a glove.
 
My day is turning out to be pretty uneventful, honestly. I worked in the morning, then came home and made lunch. Did some dishes. Listed some stuff on eBay. Thought about exercising but decided not to. Now watching a movie. Pretty blah.

I like uneventful days :)
Nice day today. Im not sure if this is the edge of the cyclone or a different storm, but it has been lovely cloudy and threatening lightening all day 🙂

Doggos got big walkies this morning in the hope they would stay quiet during my bible study. No luck on that front! Harmony is a nut. She tried to shred my study book. Not as bad as Anya bun I guess, she actually ate a watchtower once. After chewing the corners off the Catholic bible.

I napped all afternoon. And then the lack of movement caught up with the dogs and they had manic zoomies in the yard. And then in the house. And then in the yard again.

Not sure what to do for dinner yet. I literally have no clean dishes left so gotta do them first. So that means I probably wont have dinner tonight lol

We used to have a dog that ate a Bible. We just assumed that he was a gift from Satan for services rendered, but one holy roller that I ran into had a different idea: he was trying to ingest the protection of the Holy Spirit. I couldn't make that story up - she really said that. The most likely answer was that the Bible was bound in leather and he was just chowing down on a cow. That was Cujo, our Samoyed.
 
I found an issue of a gossip magazine free for the taking....checking: Globe (12-12-22). I plan to look through it later with a mix of trepidation and curiosity to see why this is so popular.
 
I went out to a BBQ and the pets were all extremely happy to see me when I got home. Even the bunnies were begging for attention and asking where I had been. Harmony lost her marbles and zoomed around the house, where as Lilah tried to lead us all straight to bed. I sat on the couch instead and she planted her chin on my arm and has not moved for an hour. I think they missed me!

So yeah, that's exactly what I did. However it was fun before that and good exercise so I'll probably do it again next winter. There's not a rink here just an open air one that comes for Christmas.

My fear was that I'd fall and someone would run over my fingers and cut them off, so breaking a bone was fine!

Yeah ice-skating is pretty horrifying when ya think about it. A bunch of people slipping around the ice with sharp murder weapons on their FEET! I prefer roller blades. Are they still a thing?

Did anyone else see the moon last night? 🌕
It was phenomenal! As I was driving home I saw what I thought was a bonfire out the corner of my eye. But I realised it was a total fire ban and couldn't have been a bonfire, it was the moon! It was HUGE and golden yellow, very slow to rise, so it looked huge for ages. I duno if the golden colour was from the harvest dust, or of it was yellow everywhere? Either way, it was spectacular!

Todays drive was nice too, I love seeing the hay rolls scattered in the paddocks. The landscape is just so beautiful! Shops were less so haha an aboriginal kid in line behind me, cupped her hands around her mouth and coughed in my face. Oh well. At least I had a mask on ha. Her sister?aunt? Smacked her across the head for it, slamming it into the checkout. They were both laughing as they left so I dont think she was really hurt or anything. I didnt care, I had a mask on and if I was gona get sick it was probably gona be from the lady who coughed as she made my sushi order lol.

Dogs are playing tug with a bunny shaped toy. Bunny shaped was perhaps not the best choice of toy for them to rip up...
