How was your day today?

Also, one guy was pissed about the spoilers, and told people to knock it off. Which resulted in even more spoilers, of course!
He should be pissed. There are 'news' articles being written about the episode and videos made explaining what this and that means in the episode. It's ridiculous. They are so hungry for clicks. It's just kinda rude.

I don't know why people even go online if they're so concerned about spoilers. If it's that important, perhaps they should stay away from the computer until an episode is broadcast.

Personally, I like spoilers. Maybe because I'm inpatient and don't like to wait for anything.

Well, I didn't go online to get spoiled. It popped up as a headline in an email, as they email me articles. But I wasn't complaining. Just understand why it would royally piss some people off. The title of the email read (minus the redacted part) What did [redacted]'s dream of [redacted] mean and how does it tie into [redacted] and the iron throne. I mean come on. And then if you are going to do a video about it, don't put the spoilers in the video title either.

There is a way report spoilers and a way not to.

It was a lazy day for me today. I didn't do anything except do some laundry, sprayed the driveway for weeds, remove the wasp nest from some little angel statue that my wife has outside on the patio, change the sheets on the bed, install a new motor in a friends electric dryer, oh, and one other thing but I forgot what it was!

Yep, not much goin on around here! ........................Oh Yeah, put the trash out for tomorrows pick up...that what it was.

The problem these days is that you don't have to read the article to learn the spoiler. They often have the spoiler in the title, so you see it just scrolling on by.

Case in point: I learned about Abraham's death in TWD that way. Article title: Shocking Deaths on TWD". Just below it: "Both Glenn and Abraham die at Negan's hands. Contains spoilers".

Yes, they literally said contains spoilers in the same headline that spoiled it.

And that happened AFTER the episode aired, not before it as it was in this case.

Its always so awkward when people invite me in. Its friendly and nice but they are showing me around their house and all I got is "oooh, ahhh" and I feel like such a dimwit. Maybe I need to watch react vids to learn how I am supposed to react, cos generally I get the giggles.

I guess making comments on the quality of their security would be a bad idea? 😀

129.2°F?! Death Valley, California was actually the hottest place on earth last month. Dear God. 😳

I've been there when it was 115, and the dangerous thing is that it doesn't feel that hot.
I am utterly exhausted. All these people saying socialising is so good for you... Im wrecked today. Like can barely move I am so exhausted. I do not want to see any people at all today, and maybe tomorrow too. I dont even want to talk to the dogs, Im so tired. I want supernatural on my tv, bunnies on my lap, a plate of chicken and broccoli alfredo and the internet for company. No voices, only letters. Much easier to handle.

The chaos from last Wednesday is continuing. At Miss Bachata last night, people were asking me how I got engaged and I tell them, this was not an engagement - my girlfriend wanted a birthstone ring and I gave it to her very publicly at Lago's. Someone at the side said, "Get down on one knee to give her the ring" so I thought it would be a good joke. There were cheers when she accepted it. (Of course she accepted it - it was a birthday present and it had already been resized for her.)

Some people have proven to be very jealous. Sam, the guy who got me into the Latin dance circuit had always wanted a girl but his problem was, he had too many of them. No one was going to make anything permanent with him when they knew about all the girls in his orbit. He is now quite jealous of what I have. Ming, a girl who shows up at Miss Bachata regularly was jealous and asked me when I was going to give her a ring. She had been mad at me for not introducing my girlfriend to her after I had introduced her to a number of other people at the Lakefront Promenade outdoor dance earlier.

Technically, the ruby ring was a promise ring. I promised I won't marry her and she has promised that she won't marry me.

I have been fighting with the post office again about missing mail. This time I got:
1) an email stating that they would work with me to resolve this issue, but not asking for any more details;
2) an email the next day, headlined "Your issue has been resolved!" with a boilerplate statement that sometimes mail goes missing, and there's nothing to be done;
3) a phone call from someone who, after I explained the circumstances, again, stated that his sole job was to find out if my issue was resolved, not do anything to resolve it;
4) another phone call from someone else, who said her sole job was tell me that she'd had the post office confirm that my name was on the tape above the box, but she couldn't do anything else;
5) a second call from the above, saying one of my missing pieces of mail is in my box. That is not the missing item, but something else from the same company. I cannot correct her, because she refused to give me an email, and she never answers her phone or has voicemail. Same for the four general numbers I tried all day.

I guess I should be happy that I got more response this time than last, where the first contact was an email closing the case. Still, their obvious tactic to get me to give up in despair is not going to work... yet.

Oh no! Keep up the good fight.
We had a moderate earthquake last night. I bet it was a foreshock. We'll see. Earthquakes don't scare me, but a power outage is a major pain. Luckily the quake wasn't big enough to knock out transformers, so power is still on. At least I'm prepared. Have all the necessary stuff, just in case. All phones charged, chargers too.

You called it!
Must be some good meth in town. There was a lady walking down the highway singing at the top of her lungs when I went walking with the poodle. She was pulling her shirt up and twirling her bag above her head when the trucks went past. I did a loop past the post office and ended up ahead of her, she stopped singing until I crossed the highway. Heard her start up again once I was off the main road, meowing and apparently ordering Chinese from the sky. Now I want Chinese. Sigh, it sucks being so easily influenced! Good thing she didnt offer any meth.

Could not find my work keys this morning, then on way to work finally remembered I don't like wearing dungarees without a top over them, way too warm for that but ah well I'll just have to hide behind the desk today and tomorrow wear something else. I need a day redo!

Poof! You can restart your day now. BTW nobody paid any attention to what you were wearing, so don't worry about it.

Back in the 2000s our post office in Georgetown was so bad that Netflix would not offer DVD service to people living in the area,. Way too many discs were disappearing in transit. People would film themselves dropping it in the inside post office box and they still vanished.

Another item failed to arrive this week. I did hope that shouting at working with them would get them on their toes, but they are impervious to shame and competence.

In better news, I can finally access my library account again. Our library system was struck by a ransomware attack over two months ago, and it's been a slow rebuilding process. (They didn't pay the ransom, and had to re-do all the software.) We could check out items at the branches, but since they told people not to return items, because they couldn't check them in, the shelves were getting pretty bare. E-books came back, but I needed my list on my account to remember which books I wanted. Yesterday, our accounts were finally back up, and I ordered two videos and a book to be put on hold for me. I figured it would be a week or two before they got the system going again, but nope, my stuff was already there today. Hurrah! 🤩

And Boooo!! to hackers who attack public services. They haven't even got the money to pay the ransom.🤬
