How Was Your Day?

I wore a dress again because I didn't squeezing into my jeans. It wasn't fancy, just lightweight and loose...plus, I don't have to hold my stomach in! 😄 Anyway, I went shopping and this guy came up to me and said, "Just wanted to say that you look beautiful." Then this girl in the Target bathroom said, "I love your style!" Maybe it's because I carry myself differently when I'm in a dress? (Usually I wear black jeans, band merch, and a pentagram necklace)

You know what? I've realised that I give off a totally different vibe when I wear a dress. And I feel less hostile. Isn't that weird?!

Nice dress! This is also why I enjoy dresses haha. I move more freely in them.

That’s very unfortunate, but never forget that you hold all the power. The word “no” is stronger than any attempt they have to get with you. I’ve had a similar situation happen recently.

As long as you continue to express disinterest or just plain ignore them, you’ll get through just fine. And in time you’ll find someone awesome, Tams! 🙂

Poor doggos are going a bit stir crazy, but this is the last day of the heatwave and tomorrow will be better. We did go walkies this morning but we've been limited to about 3-4 hours outside a day for the last two days and they are really restless about it today. I dont blame them, they are being good dogs, thats a long time to be locked up in the house. Puzzles and licky mats and kongs only amuse for so long!

Its one thing Harmony is smarter than Lilah about - Harmony seems to realise that the sun is hot and burny. Lilah just wants to lay in the black dirt and bake.
 
Miserable, honestly.

I woke up sick and it’s just gotten worse as the day has gone on. I’m definitely not coming to work tomorrow, but luckily I get sick days that will cover that. I also made the brilliant decision to stop smoking, which is very difficult after having vaped for month after month. I’m already feeling the effects 🫠

There was a bright spot involving my best friend, but I don’t feel comfortable saying more than that at the moment. 🙂 Perhaps later.

I am craving coffee, but its too late in the day for real coffee and the coles site is down so I cant order decaf for tomorrows grocery order. Remind me later when it comes back online!!
 
Hopefully this day will be totally chill, cause I need it after yesterday; that is the last time I book three appointments in the same day! Got up early to go to my psychiatrist, then immediately after I went to the dentist, and then after having an hour at home to myself to have a quick lunch, a woman whose job title I don't know in English came by for an hour to watch (and cheer me on) while I cleaned a bit. (that's it, that's her job, sitting on my couch while I run around cleaning for an hour) 😀

Sounds like what we'd call a support worker but its probably different depending on the country!

Yeah! This is why an actual cleaner would never be much use to me, I'd wipe myself out cleaning before they got there!

A few things would be handy tho, a washer that was set up higher, a benchtop dishwasher, and a steam cleaner with a long handle. All these things would stop my poor brain stem being squished every time I bend down. My poor brain has probably melted even more in this heat.

Entered Saturday lotto and while I know it doesn't technically work this way, hopefully everyone was all lotto'd out from the powerball last night and leave me more chance to win big on the Saturday lotto 😉
 
I really thought I was gona die in the heat last week, I wrote out care plans for all the pets and plants 😆

I really need to leave the house. I should have tried to go down for a meeting today to give me a legit excuse to use the car, but I went back to bed instead. Its been a very, very lazy day. At least both the dogs got a good walk and lots of outside time today. So much so that they have asked to go INSIDE twice already.

Maybe I will go on a maccas run tonight. I dont remember if I have had maccas this year or not... Seems overdue.
 
I was taking out the trash last night and accidentally startled an opossum by the garbage bin. It looked like a creature from hell, and it hissed at me. It didn't run away, just sat there like it was daring me to make a move. I've never seen one of those things up close. Creepy white face and beady eyes, just horrifying. I really wasn't in the mood for this nonsense. It wasn't moving, just staring at me and hissing. So yeah, screw that. I went to another trash bin. 😄
 
I went to HMV, I didn't know they even still had physical shops, but they do! I bought a deluxe collection of Death graphic novels.

I also went to the theatre to see Six, but HMV!

Maybe I was low in salt again cos KFC perked me right up 😀 the dogs got good walks today, the poodle still wants to add feathers to her collection. Was thinking about trying to do some embroidery on my jeans, they are very boring looking.
 
Pretty good actually soo far.... Abbs doc appointment has been bought forward to tomorrow due to a cancellation. Put all new bedding on me bed including new duvet and protector which makes it super soft!!
 
I have some unexpected washing to do as I appear to have suffered a pretty substantial nosebleed during the night. Lovely.

I do not recall ever having a nosebleed before.

Oh no! I get them a lot in summer, air too dry! Hope its nothing serious for you.

The rain started up again a few hours ago and it's quite chilly outside. A severe thunderstorm storm warning was also issued. So glad I don't live near the coast or in the hills! Los Angeles doesn't usually get this much rain, and it's a bit apocalyptic. My teddy bear is sitting next to me... I don't think he likes the rain. 😄
 
Me and the dogs were hanging out for sunset so we could go play in the garden, but the smoke over town is thick as. We did get out for a little while but Harmony is terrified of the smell and didnt want to stay out (she was shaking for half an hour while I carried her around like a baby when we got back inside). The garden got a bit of water but not nearly enough. I am going to have to wake up early tomorrow to get the dogs walked and everything else done before the heat hits.

The fire is crazy big but a long way away, so no danger, just smoke. I feel for the firies, its gona be very, very hot until next week.
 
Car going back to the garage today, having the part replaced and retest for mot. I don't wanna do it, it drives great, why do I hafta pay so much for it!
Also it throws off my morning, I need to take it there for 8am walk home then get ready for work at 9:30.
