My day was okay, I guess. I'm not much one for going out so the highlight of my day was fresh snow.

Went dancing again last night at the Capitol, a place about 10 km north of me near the airport. Met a nice Polish girl there named Theresa but she is going to Mexico for a couple of months. I finally danced with a Victoria, a girl that I had seen quite often on the dance circuit but never danced with before. She is quite pretty with long red hair and her trademark, shoes with 5" spike heels and 2" thick soles. She tried lunging at me during a cha-cha and I recognized that she was testing me to see if I was intimidated. I wasn't, but I was flattered that she would bother. She would be about my daughter's age (42).

I ventured out into the rain ONLY because I was out of cigarettes. It's actually kind of nice when it rains. Driving in rain in Los Angeles is usually a nightmare, but it was okay earlIer. I also rediscovered that coffee is good for weight loss. My jeans are looser! I've had a cup every morning for a week, and I like it.

I NEED ONION RINGS!!!!!

Mixed. My cousin got married today (wasn't her first wedding).
It was very good & ambianced (dance, karaoké, very snacks) but then at nearly 8PM just before dinner & dessert, the wedding got ruined by one fight (but multiple people). Tables ruined, glasses broken, some drop of blood on the floor... Children freaked out at the sight of the big violent fight. The ambiance was ruined before dinner & dessert, my cousin's wedding was ruined, don't need to tell you that her & her husband were very disappointed. So good afernoon but terrible evening. No dinner & no dessert.

I also rediscovered that coffee is good for weight loss. My jeans are looser!

Hot day here already. Both dogs are walked. The youngest is trying to eat a texta. I was hoping to get to a meeting today but not sure I will make it now. Still need a shower to get all this suncream off and find something to wear. I didnt finish the crochet shawl I had planned in time.

I got to the meeting 🙂 so nice, its more relaxing than hypnotherapy. Plus, I dont have to sit stuck to a seat the whole time, they dont mind if I get up and move around. Such a relaxed atmosphere. Singing with everyone gets better every time 🙂 positive peer pressure.

Went to Aldi after and stocked up on cheap chocolate and yogurt and cheese. And then got Hungry Jacks for the drive home. All their salted caramel coffee ads programmed me to want one. I have never had a drink so big hahah especially a coffee drink. Im gona be buzzing for days.

I went to the art museum today, where a big exhibit was closing. It was there for months, but I guess everyone waited till the last minute, because the place was packed. So we decided to skip it, having seen it before, but even seeing other rooms required navigating past the long line that snaked through an entire floor. At least those waiting had some other lovely art to see on the way. So glad we saw it earlier, and I'm glad people still come out for good art!

Did some petsitting for some long term clients this weekend. 2 dogs, a black lab and some kind of poodle mix, plus a cat they're fostering. It's not the hardest house I sit for, and the pay is very good, but something about that group of animals just exhausts me completely after 2 days of sitting. I came home after the job was done with a headache, fell asleep before 7 and woke up at 10. I'm beat! And I've got a particularly busy day tomorrow, so I have to be pragmatic about how I'm spending my time... and yet here I am on the boards at 11 PM 😆

I'm on a site called Next Door where people from different neighborhoods chat about things...but a few people REALLY try my patience. For example, one woman actually demanded that we stop posting pictures of cooked meat because she's a vegetarian. She said it was "inconsiderate and unkind." 😈 So as you see, I was compelled to post several pics of cooked meat. It's not my fault, she MADE me do it.

Still pondering the dream I had last night.

I've been listening to The Handmaid's Tale on audiobook so I'm blaming that.

Everyone under 40 had to have a child, either biological or you were given a child that was given up/in care. I was given a 4 month old girl, called Regina, which I didn't like, so I renamed her Leah. It was somewhat like lock down was, you could go for walks but were mostly at home. I had my allotment still, so walked there carrying the baby. Nobody really used cars anymore, except those bringing the babies to people.

Quiet day for me today. I think the calm before the next migraine but I hope not! Tomorrow will be better. Remind me to ... Oh wait, I've already forgot. Oh well. Night night

Cleaned the buns pen, walked the dogs, watered the garden, cooked breakfast and am now sitting on the couch doing crochet. Lazy day. Might have icecream for lunch 🙂

I got a first on my essay!!!!!!! wooo!! I didn't think I could achieve a first ever! One of my new year's resolutions has come true already!
I got a much lower grade in my commentary so the overall grade for the unit was reduced to a 2.1 but that is still a good grade so I am happy anyway.

To save money, I bought instant coffee and "sweetened condensed creamer" from Dollar Tree yesterday. This morning I made coffee and it tasted like a complete nightmare. Took one sip and nearly gagged. 🤢 I'll never EVER buy that crap again! From now on I'll gladly spend the extra money to buy Folger's coffee and Carnation Hazelnut creamer. Saving money means nothing if you don't enjoy what you've bought!!!
