How would they possibly bring back Anya?

Anya was one of the most awesome characters... who died rather abruptly. How might the writers bring her back for Buffy Season 8?
 
Hmmm...good question...they can always do the Darla-esque spirit guide thing again.

You know what could be cool lol. Hold on, this is out there. So Anya get killed as we all know. So say that somehow the PTBs give her a second chance and send her back to her original life and time. And somehow she either leaves some sort of message/important clue for a future storyline for the Scoobies OR that somehow changes history. Or the Scoobies could always time travel back and see her again...

I have thought that it would be supercool to have Anya be one of the PTB. Clearly, she spent the last part of her life trying to attone for the evil she'd done when she was a demon. I would be so happy to see her come back as one of the supreme good guys. 😀
On the flipside of that, what if one of the vamps that was running around Sunnydale around the time of the final fight found her as she lay dying and turned her?? 🙂 Vampire Anya could be pretty kick-ass...

Ooh interesting, Anya as a vamp would be awesome 🙂
 
Just do what they did with Angel in Season 3. Drop her out of a crackling hole into the air onto the floor, unconscious. Never any definite explanation, she's just suddenly back again. (Okay, there was a sort of vague explanation later as to why Angel came back, but it was all a mystery at thew time)

Didn't that happen with Cordelia in Season Four...?
 
It'd be cool if they dragged her out of whatever afterlife she's in. Seems like after Buffy died in season 5, before any plans were made, the writers were thinking of what to do--one of the ideas (which came up in one of the commentary tracks, I think for 6.01) was to have the Scooby gang go into hell and get Buffy.

Something along that line could be cool. Figure out where Anya is, go there, go through some kind of fight or what not and bring her back. Although she'd probably be all spirity...

I'd even feel good about a dream-sequence Anya. As in new Anya-material, not just a comic'd up flashback to one of her scenes from the show.
 
I wish they'd bring Anya back...anyway they can. I miss her. And her bunny phobia. 🙁

The Powers That Be w TPTB were the ones who brought Angel back, supposedly. but that was only explained later, in Angel's own series. I don't remember any mention of it in Season 3
Maybe some guy she put a curse on when she was a vengence demon could bring her back just to get revenge. Then Buffy and Xander and them would have to save her.
 
I miss Anya. She was the funniest character and so full of life. But I don't think she should come back.

I love her so much, but I really think it would be a cop-out if they brought her back.

Good ideas....seeing Anya come back as a vamp could be down right hilarious becasue she could play it off so well. But out of respect for the growth of Anya's character I would have to say I think I'd rather see her as PTB. Towards the end she really made a lot of progress understanding humans and all the real emotions that come with that. To make her an evil vampire would sort of diminish the growth of her character. I could also see her relishing in how cool it was to become part of the PTB! Yay Anya!: pbounce:
 
yeah and tara would be a good ptb not fair warren gets to survive after everything but i guess it makes willow not a killer after all

It's still opened to interpretation. I think it's equally likely that the First, Wolfram & Hart, or The Powers That Be brought him back.

But thus far, even though the First made the most explicit claim to doing it, TPTB & W&H have shown the kind of power needed to resurrect someone.

On that note, maybe Xander could just sprinkle Anya's blood on a W&H employment contract...

Do they Scoobies even know about W&H?
 
Anya should stay dead, I'm sick of dead characters being revived, it makes death meaningless. I love Anya, but she died, it's over. Same with Tara.
