I wanted to open a thread since i find it interesting (I think to have probably experienced something similar 2 days ago, during the waking up from sleep, since i don't believe in "ghosts, etc").
Hypnagogic and hypnopompic hallucinations are sleep-related hallucinations: hypnagogic hallucinations happen during falling asleep, and hypnopompic hallucinations happen during the waking up.
In the past and across different cultures, the experience of these kinds of hallucinations has been the basis of the belief in ghosts' sights during sleep or visitations of spirits, demons or other grotesque creatures.
What do you think about these things? Have you ever experienced hypnagogic or hypnopompic hallucinations?
