I Like Connor

Do anyone think that Cordy/Connor was supposed to be a good relationship? Cordy/Jasmine used him (for her plan) and Connor did it to get back at someone, in this case his own dad. If you transfer that to a real life relationship you think it had been a great one?

Understanding Connor's actions is by no means the same as liking him. What I hope for is that it decreases a lot of the hate for him.

Both points you make i agree with. It wasn't meant to be a good relationship i agree but that doesn't change my mind on it being the worst relationship in the buffyverse.

Furthermore its the same idea for my view on Connor. I don't hate him as strongly as i would do if i didn't understand his upbringing.

In summary there is a reason for his behaviour yet i can't like the character just because i understand why he is acting in a certain way, hope that makes sense.

The Cordelia/Connor thing doesn't bother me as much as it bothers some people I guess. I never understood why people hated him, I didn't agree with some of the things he did but I could see it from his point of view. And he was awesome in Angel Season Five! (Liked him before that BTW)

I adore Connor. Yeah, he has a hard time of it, and that caused some Dawn-season 5-worthy annoying, BUT, as mentioned in another thread, This world, Angel... through Connor's perspective after being raised by Holtz is completely different than we have seen Angel over the years and seasons. So that angsty teenage bit never bothered me as much as it did other people.

On the other side of that, I think season 5, well-adjusted Connor is AMAZING. Every time I watch Origins and Not Fade Away, I at the very least get misty eyed. It's amazing to see Connor the way he was MEANT to be. He was kind, curious, accepting, intelligent, and loved his family. And I think, at least a little, once he regained his memories, he loved Angel too. At the very least he respected him and cared enough about him to help him in Not Fade Away.

Connor karma :) Love that boy
I cant stand Connor, hes a big baby with daddy issues, He should have just stayed an infant!. Connor was another character I was glad to see go

I never hated Connor but I never LOVED him either. There may be some things I didn't like what he said or did. But he was tolerable in season 5.

His father had daddy issues. But Angel solved them - somewhat - by murdering dear old dad after becoming a vampire. Why should Connor be the only one castigated for having daddy issues?

I really like Connor. I'd heard all of the hate about him, and kept waiting to feel the same way myself (as I inevitably did about Dawn) but it never happened. I never found him particularly whiny. I understood exactly where he was coming from, why he did the things he did and why he felt the way he felt. I may not agree with everything *ahem, sinking Angel* but I understand why he acted the way he did. I thought Vincent did a freaking fantastic job of playing him too.

I love Connor. I didn't care much for his relationship with Cordelia but I can see why he had issues with Angel.

I can't believe I haven't commented in this thread. I love Connor. He's amazing. When I first watched, I hated him... but now... God I love him! I sorta get why people hate him, but I wish they'd see the light

I know Connor has his problems but he still bugged the crap out of me for the majority of the time. He wasn't as annoying as Dawn and Kennedy were but still annoying none the less. Now well adjusted Connor post season four is incredibly awesome. If can forgive his season 3 angstyness, but the way season 4 writers treated him was god awful. They made it nearly impossible to root for him. Although season four ran over cordelia as well. Angelus took a hit from some of the fans from being changed from his appearance on Buffy.

I blame season 4.
